i have no idea why they left him with the grandparents.
i doubt it was because he has down syndrome.
what special needs does a 2 year old with down syndrome need anyway?

I don't know what special needs a downs syndrome child needs if any. I just find it a little odd that the whole family went on a "family trip" including Bristol's baby yet they decide not to bring the handicapped child. If that doesn't seem odd to you then you must have been left behind when your family took trips.

in most contexts its apt.
" a school for mentally challenged kids" for example.

but if you go out of your way to emphasize that the kids got a problem when it has nothing to do with anything but just to be degrading, which thats exactly what he did , well then you got a serious problem.

How else would he distinguish which one got dropped off? I suppose had he went extra-out of his way to be pc he could have found a way. But the non-pc way was to simply refer to the kid by his handicap.:2 cents:

I would enjoy the scenery of Alaska if I didn't have to hear her going on in narration. I watched a minute or two of it before I changed it and realized I could simply watch that one Alaskan show on History Channel or Travel Channel... one of them. Maybe NatGeo. Either way at least it won't be full of Palin narration.

FWIW - While in the process of searching for something interesting to watch on Sun. Night, I did happen to watch about 5 whole minutes of this Palin Alaska whatever program not knowing what or who the hell I was watching until I recognized the howl of the governor's voice . . . anyway, it appeared that the family was involved in some fairly complex steep slope mountaineering, are you sure that they brought the other child along because if they did there should be some kind of child endangerment charges filed against . . . Fuck! Book em all Danno, what do I care!

I think the kid's name is Tripp. They dropped Tripp off before they went on a trip.
