Sarah Huckabee-Sanders booted from Red Hen Restaurant

Sarah Huckabee Sanders Was Asked to Leave Restaurant Over White House Work

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House press secretary, said she was asked to leave a Virginia restaurant Friday night because of her work in the Trump administration, becoming the latest official to be singled out for her support of the president’s policies.

In a Saturday tweet, Sarah Sanders said that the owner of the restaurant, the Red Hen in Lexington, Va., suggested she leave, and she complied.
The woman’s actions “say far more about her than about me,” Sarah Sanders said. “I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so.” A person who identified as a waiter at the restaurant said in a Facebook post that Sarah. Sanders had been accompanied by seven other guests.
The restaurant did not respond to phone calls, and its website appeared to have crashed Saturday morning as reports of the episode began circulating.

The encounter is the third time this past week in which a Trump administration official was confronted over his or her political stance.
As tensions continued to escalate over the White House’s child-separation policy, Kirstjen Nielsen, the secretary of homeland security, was heckled on Tuesday night while dining at a Mexican restaurant. “If kids don’t eat in peace, you don’t eat in peace,” demonstrators shouted, according to video of the confrontation shared on social media.

And Stephen Miller, a senior adviser to the president known for his hard-line stance on immigration, was described as a “fascist” by a protester on Sunday, also while at a Mexican restaurant, The New York Post reported.

While the administration struggles to reunite the families amid outrage over images and audio recordings of sobbing children taken away from their parents, the divisive messaging on both sides of the debate has intensified.

Within hours, the Red Hen’s review pages online painted a stark picture of the divide: Some people left glowing reviews for the farm-to-table restaurant from halfway across the country, and others denounced the political choices of the owner.
“The best,” one reviewer wrote on Yelp, leaving five stars. “I’ve heard that they serve crow to those deserving of it.”
“Pathetic,” the next review read. “How dare you use politics to discriminate. Seems you will be the actual loser in this case, once the reviews really sink in. Good luck, pal.”

On Facebook, the establishment had accumulated more than 10,000 five-star reviews, and more than 18,000 one-star reviews, prompting some criticism over Sarah Sanders’s decision to use her White House social media account instead of her personal one to identify the restaurant.

Another area restaurant with the same name — an unaffiliated Red Hen in a neighborhood of Washington — found itself in the crossfire, receiving some of the vitriol intended for the Lexington establishment.

“@PressSec went to the unaffiliated @RedHenLex last night, not to our DC-based restaurant,” it said on Twitter.

Being a progressive, I guess most people would think that's the kind of thing I would celebrate. But that's not.
This restaurant shouldn't have done that, they should have served her and let her eat in peace, like any customer.

The same way bakeries shouldn't refuse customers bases on their sexual identity and preferences, restaurants sholdn't choose their customers based on their political views.
If you're consistent in your views, you can agreed wioth both or disagree with both but if you think Red Hen should have let her heat but bakeries can refuse to serve gay couples (or the other way round), you're just inconsistent and hypocritical.

From what I understand, the baker didn't simply refuse to serve the gay couple, as in he told them to leave his store, but that he wouldn't specifically prepare them a wedding cake because he was against same sex marriage based on his religious convictions. The same as a Muslim baker would be.

In the case of The Red Hen, the owner heard Mrs. Sanders and her family had arrived, drove down there to confirm and after consulting the staff decided to ask them to leave. That is essentially "we don't serve your kind here" based on her disapproval of who she works for. To her credit, the owner didn't make a big scene of it, but pulled Sanders aside on the patio and asked her to leave. Sanders agreed to, and being the class act she is, offered to pay for the items they were already served. The owner said it was on the house.

That would've likely been the end of it, had not a restaurant employee posted about the incident on Facebook and the story blew up and Sarah had to respond on Twitter to confirm.

I don't think that makes good business sense, but I respect the restaurant owner's conviction, and more importantly, right to serve whoever she pleases.

Just as I respect the right of would-be customers not patronizing her establishment or vendors no longer wanting to do business with her.

"offered to pay for the items they were already served"

I hope she didn't eat any of it, if I know Democrats as well as I think I do it was probably laced with cat shit, or worse.

That's what I was thinking.

Better for the staff to be up front and honest in refusing to serve than to engage in that fuckery.

Almost all of those cases were for religious reasons and I can agree with that. Democrats are furious but yet they push for Freedom of Religion but want Christian faith and God removed from schools. Makes great fucking sense don't it? LOL.

I couldn't agree more but Dems feel if you don't believe as they do your filth.

Only to true Democrat would consider refusing a human being food a victory. I know it's sad Bro but that's the world we live in. Just got to suck it up and get used to it I suppose.

I agree, up to a point. The LGBTQXXXLDFAAAAA, or whatever they're calling themselves, dont just want equal rights (which they already have), they want forced acceptance of their behavior and lifestyle choices.

The amount of power they wield as a block is unjustifiable.

That butt-ugly fat fuck can't be seen in any restaurant, because she makes people sick.

The restaurant owner did a public service, which he is to be recommended for.

You want to see this across the room? And keep your meal down?

I'd rather sit across the room from her than this smelly monster. At least Sanders looks like she takes a bath.

God and Faith don't belongs in schools. If you wanna learn about Faith, go to church, schools are for knowledge, not beliefs
And if you think otherwise, then the First Amendement requires schools not to teach only christianity but other religions to. Including Islam.

Now, about the right for businesses to choose their customers eiither you think they can't refuse to serve any customer, for any reason (including both political and religious reasons) or you think they can refuse to serve customers, for any reasons they want.
Either you must serve Sarah Sanders and gay couples or you're allowed to refuse to serve any of them. But you can't claim you're allowed to refuse ot serve gay couples but Red Hen wasn't allowed to refuse ot serve Sarah Sanders.

Yep, don't call me a Democrat, the Democratic Party is way to Center-Right for me

Agreed, but when I said Dems want "God" removed from schools I meant the word God removed from the Pledge of Allegiance that is recited everyday at school. Just wanted to correct myself ;) I'm not a religious man but will respect if you practice no matter what faith. Teach them all or none at all.

Supa I can understand you being agitated by her. But seriously, who cares what she looks like? That seems like a style of slam you wouldn't ordinarily engage in :dunno:

The actual ugliness about her is her willingness and capacity to deny reality while knowingly generating an avalanche of misinformation.

As if Repuplicans don't engage in that same shit? lol C'mon RJ. We all know that kind of fuckery is entirely bipartisan.

Well, considering the pledge was written in 1892, and that God didn't make it into the pledge until 1954 (for well documented political reasons), and that one could readily argue that it violates the principle of separating church from state, I can understand why many folks are uneasy with its recital in schools, and why only about half of our schools still conduct that ritual.

PS: Did you know the pledge was written by a socialist?
I shit you not :1orglaugh

You.Are.So.God.Damn.Full.Of.Shit.
Or either so wrapped up in the death cult of liberalism that you are tone deaf, intentionally misleading or both.

This from the Washington Post.

Not Conservative Tribune, not Breitbart, not the Daily Caller but the fucking Washington Post which says the culture of misinformation and lies in the Obama White House was so rampant that even they could not sort out the truth. Jay Carney and Josh Earnest were ministers of propaganda that would have made a Baghdad Bob green with envy.

But Sarah Sanders is a liar and disseminator of falsehoods.

Seriously, go fuck yourself or go find a bleeding heart “ conservative” who is willing to give you a shoulder to cry on.

Those issues are slowly making her worse. She probably looked just not quite appealing, but the older someone gets, the more his lifestyle cuts into his/her face. And she is leading a VERY bad lifestyle, and it shows.

Besides:

We are at a porn forum, if we don't talk about female looks, where else?

This is the Sarah Sanders that most people see daily:

While she isn’t beautiful, she certainly isn’t grotesque or so disturbing to look at that you couldn’t keep a meal down.
As for lifestyle changing appearances, all one has to do is look at Hillary Clinton to see the effects.

Just shut up.

Well yeah that's a fair point.
And you weren't directing it at another poster the way our resident middle schooler does.

Well, it ain't too hard to look good in the light of folks like him.

Thank you for the compliment :)

I despise the political social media avenues taking place nowadays. She was told to leave because she represents the POTUS and all that. Andrew Jackson was the first President to have an assassination attempt on his life... you didn't see him backing down. Huckabee should have at least held a civil discourse. For the good of a small town economy.
