Cheryl Wright of Pleasant Hills will spend her first ******'s Day without her ********, Tia, 12, who was ****** in a traffic accident on April 5.
Tia's ******, Karl Wright, continues to recover from serious injuries suffered in that two-vehicle collision, blamed on a ******* teenage driver. Another 12-year-old, a passenger in the Wright car and Tia's best friend, is also recuperating from injuries.
Despite her grief, Mrs. Wright is finding comfort from friends, neighbors -- even strangers.
