Fiji is good at Sevens but not so much with 15-a-side, plus all their awesome players like Caucaunibuca are retired now, so they are the worst Pacific Island team I would say.
Wales are pretty good, they should win fairly comfortably. Might get close though.

Ireland/Italy would be the better matchup, I guess Ireland would win something like 21-12 :dunno:

starting 8th of October.
I will pick Ireland, England, Australia and NZ to go through. All could go either way though, except NZ/Argies which shouldn't at least.

England obviously, New Zealand, Australia vs South Africa will be very close but my gut goes with Australia. I think the closed match will be Ireland vs Wales, there both in great form at the minute and look very strong. I'm going to go with Wales.

Well, at least they'd beat the All Blacks in a dance-off.

Quarterfinals time, 10-3 to Wales over Ireland at the moment, second half starting now.
Wales haven't made the semis since 1987, Ireland never have.
England/France after that.

Wales win 22-10 and France win 19-12, upset kings again after having a bad tournament up until that point. Got out to 16-0 early and hung on to win.
Wales vs. France in the SF next week. France have been to 2 finals (lost both) and Wales have never made the final. They have a good enough chance here, France could just as easily drop back down next week. Always unpredictable.

Australia/South Africa and New Zealand/Argentina tomorrow.

I think Australia V South Africa will be the pick of the 1/4's for entertainment.Thats if I can

Defending champions South Africa gone in the QF. Lost to Australia 11-9, although they had enough advantage in the game to win.
All Blacks beat Argentina 33-10 on the other side. Argies tough on defense, didn't concede a try for a long time. Colin Slade got injured but it might be precautionary, really don't need to start a third string 10 in the semifinal.

So I will be hoping the All Blacks beat Australia, while France/Wales is hard to predict. In any case I think a southern hemisphere country will win the tournament.

I hope Wales win, they've probably been the best team at this world cup, them and the All Blacks obviously. So i hope that's the final. But Australia have never lost to a tri-nations team in a world cup knockout. Plus Wales have never been to a final were France have, so that might give them a small mental edge.

France beat Wales 9-8. Welsh captain Sam Warburton got sent off fairly early on which was a defining moment maybe. France were very defensive, almost no offense. Might have been lucky that Wales missed most of their kicks, included a near 50 meter penalty kick that fell just short.
French in their third final anyway, playing either NZ or Australia, both of whom have beaten France in finals before.

That was probably the worst decision in a rugby world cup i've ever seen, there was no way he deserved to be sent off. Basically the ref. cost Wales a place in the final. It's a shame because Wales should have won with even 14, and they definitely would have won with 15.

All i hope now is that either the All Blacks or Australia destroy France in the final.

So the All Blacks into the final after beating Australia 20 ~ 6 in the semi's. I'm going for the All Blacks in the final as well.
