RPG's that are not big name titles but are play-worthy

The big name titles are known like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean, Dragon Warrior.

What are some lesser known titles you like? I always liked "Radiata Stories". its a more silly game, more of a humor festival than other RPG's but its a fun play

The original Xenogears for PS1,that's now on the PlayStation store for 10 bucks.Still probably in the top ten all time of any game that I've ever played.

If we're talking "retro" game then; Legend of Dragoon, Alundra (sort of RPG, it's debatable), Guardian's Crusade, and Granstream Saga for ps1 , Landstalker for Genesis (also debatable RPG), but it reminds me of Zelda games which are RPGs.

Mount and Blade and Mount and Blade Warband. Not flashy games but they offers deep customization, medieval backdrop, multiple factions. There's really no story to speak of, you kinda make your own.

Torchlight, Magicka, Might and Magic Clash of Heroes, Dragon Age. The only Anime RPG I liked was Shining Soul series.

Fallout 3, simply amazing. Sort of a big name title but if you haven't heard of it, I definitely recommend you try it out.

Guess you didn't read the title of the tread.

I guess winning Game Of The Year isn't enough to make you a "big name title" these days.

The Lufia games for the SNES.

Terranigma, but I don't think it was ever sold in the US (or even officially translated into English for here). I don't know a remotely practical way one would get it for North America.
(...well legally that is ;);))
