His passing cannot come as a surprise, as his dementia made it necessary for him to be replaced, because his demntia made him forget the very songs he co-wrote. A sad day for Rock.

AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young dies at 64

Australian guitarist and AC/DC co-founder Malcolm Young has died aged 64 after a long battle with dementia.

He died peacefully on Saturday with his ****** nearby, a statement said. Young will be remembered for his powerful rhythm guitar riffs that were instrumental in propelling the Sydney heavy rock group to stardom. Three Young brothers have been part of AC/DC's history, including lead guitarist Angus. Producer George Young died in October.

Damn, Angus lost two brothers, in a relatively short time. Another one gone....we're losing to many greats.

A huge loss. I hope Angus has given up cigarettes he and Malcolm were heavy chain smokers and that certainly lead to the stroke that eventually caused his decline. RIP to the greatest rhythm guitarist of all time IMO.
