I was cruising around the old internet last night and came across Roger Pipe's review of "Pure", the only recent DVD that he had designated a "pick" and was surprised and saddened when the first line of the review referred to the director, David Aaron Clark, as having ****** away - on Nov 28, 2009 of pulmonary embolism.
I knew of him because he was a good friend of Jade-blue Eclipse and put her in a number of his films. I had seen Jade-blue in a tiny blurb in Club International and was instantly captivated.
Living in the Bay Area, I got to see her perform a number of times and met her a few times - what a babe!

Asianatrix - fabulous and weird film with themes of personality transference - very fetish-y but it has good sex scenes also and lots of Jade-blue in it.
Kung-Fu Girls 1 - he didn't direct it - both he and Jade are performers in this goofy movie - highly recommended for Jade-blue fans because her bod is so tight and she looks absolutely amazing - one of her few boy/girl scenes on film - very hot!
Asia Noir 3 - he was a good film-maker by this point so he was able to film his ideas much better and this is a beauty - really unique and erotic with great sex scenes including another Jade-blue boy/girl scene
Diary of a Mad Porn Director - this was a compilation of stuff that he did for his short-lived web site - if you're a Jade-blue fan, it's cool because there's a long very intimate interchange between them and since they were friends and the only people in the room the whole thing is very relaxed and casual.
I'm glad that he got "Pure" done at Evil Angel before ****** away, since he had gone years of starting projects and having them taken away from him for insisting on using Black male performers in some scenes and for being a lot weirder than the people footing the bills wanted to pay for. Roger Pipe had talked to him a week before he ****** away and he was very happy about it and excited about it - and then he was gone - RIP
