Happy, you already know my fiftieth of a dollar here. Yeah, I like adult modelling and porn. You might even say I'm a fan of porn, you will not offend me with that title. I'm frequently accused of being a "sucker" by some of the more parasitic posters because I don't hide the fact I pay for the porn I like, whether it's DVDs or site memberships, because I believe in keeping some of my £ going into the business to help it survive. Do I care about the inner workings of the machine or what the big companies do? By and large, hell no. Put simply, porn is not worth getting that upset about to me. When I've had a membership to Brazzers or any of the other companies, it's been for the content. Yes, I have on occasion been a completionist and paid for a membership to download content specifically for one or a couple of girls that I like, but I've never once deluded myself into thinking I was supporting them in particular.
Ways I choose to support the girls I like, usually because I am fond of what I've been privy to of their personalities on top of liking their content, including (but not restricted to) some of the OCSMs :
- Buy magazines they're on the cover of to try and increase relative popularity so they get more cover shoots ;
- Phone/webcam interaction, direct revenue stream specific to them.
- clips4sale purchases, direct revenue stream specific to them.
- FO personals purchases, direct revenue stream specific to them.
- Site memberships, direct revenue stream specific to them.
- Wishlist purchases. YES, I have even been "that guy" for a couple of girls.
We have learned that one of the big companies - the biggest, in fact - ignores the views/wishes/opinions of the fanbase on occasion when it suits their own agenda. Are any of us really that surprised? That's not just porn, that's the entertainment industry in general. Is it a shame? Sure. But it's a fact of life.

In my opinion nobody should be surprised by this. There has and always will be shady dealing in porn. Porn contest are up there in that respect. I kind of wish people in the industry would just stop doing them, even the Miss FreeOnes contest (Although I have no reason to suspect FreeOnes plays fast and loose with it.)
With that said I am kind of surprised the amount of people that are too willing to brush this off. Knowing there might be some general stuff in the industry somewhere that's not up to par and having bad dealing be directly in your face where you can't ignore it are two different things. Why would anybody want to give money to a corporation that you now know is so very readily willing to lie to you, and is blatantly untrustworthy? It's an invitation to get oneself screwed over at some point. Even if one is willing to ignore any moral or ethical concerns, from even a pure selfish standpoint it's still a bad idea.

The only girls I've heard off are Nicole Aniston and Madison Ivy. Nicole is Ok, But personally I think Madison is talentless junkie. The twistys site has never really been a favourate of mine but clearly they've been screwing people around just to serve there own means, but do people think they really care?. Personally I think this will probably blow over in a few weeks and everything will just go back to usual.

It's too bad what happened and I like seeing these ladies stick up for themselves. I'd say the same to anyone who has been fucked over by Big Business. The shadiest part about it all is not even them changing the runner up..yeah it's shady of course but they obviously did it for monetary reasons/ business decisions. But once word got out, they banned several of the top models and past treats from the forums, along with some members who have been subscribers for years. These ladies are the ones who keep the members paying, they are very interactive and also when the Treat of the Year contest comes along, all the girls in the running are doing everything they can to drive traffic to Twistys and get people to sign up and vote for them...basically doing all Twistys marketing for them...this happens when any site has a contest of this nature but then they just shit on these models like they were nothing, the ones who were making them a lot of $. So that's pretty crappy if you ask me. I doubt anything will happen to Twistys, there are new girls in the biz every single day and what reason would they have to boycott one of the best glam sites around? But I do like seeing people take a stand when they've been wronged and the ladies are getting quite a bit of attention from it.
