Retired porn stars attending college

it goes both way you can't be a porn star and go to college and get a good job ( not happening) But if you get an education then you can start you own business. So I say go for it and do your thing. ( I would advise all entertainers to invest outside of entertainment just in case)

Wind27382 -- It may happen, it just depends on the circumstances at the time. From the opposite area of the spectrum, I know of one lady who had a college education, and she had a great job as an executive VP in a computer company. She met her boyfriend there, who in turn, became her husband. Her boyfriend was a graphic artist there. After they got married, they both left the computer company to open up their own business. And luckily, she became a pornstar. An overnight one. Yes, she's been running her site for over a decade. Her cousin, you would know too, as she has been a pornstarlet for close to two decades. And of course, by my description here -- you'll also know the lady I'm referring to -- if I decided to put both of their names up.

Again... why should a cam lady, pornstar, adult model, not have the ability to better themselves? If they want to retire and take up an advanced degree nothing is going to stop them. Which is what got me so mad at the OP who started this thread.

Who says all employers give a shit about whether or not someone used to work in porn or be a stripper or whatever? They most certainly don't. You know how when you fill out an application for a job and there's that question about whether you have ever been convicted for a felony, and if so, why? They're not allowed to discriminate based on that kind of stuff. Even people currently in prison that get work leave are awesome workers, because they're happy just to get out of jail for a little while.

I used to do straight up porn, currently an adult model, and I have had no problem finding jobs. I'm a restaurant manager right now as well (have been for about 2 years), and months ago, I straight up told my boss that I used to do porn. I had to because there was an employee that found my videos and was going around showing everyone, so I decided to take a stand and tell my own boss about her poor behavior of mixing up personal lives with work, especially considering that I'm her boss (well, WAS her boss. She got fired a couple months later). And my boss doesn't care about my past, we've talked about it and she thinks no less of me at all.

Hell, my old high school guidance counselor used to be a stripper. Sure, some of the students talked about it behind her back, but she still had the job. Most employers don't discriminate against such things.

It's not cool of you to talk about porn stars like that. We are regular people.

I agree completely with you I just think something will be harder. and in your example is kind of wrong. From the begging I stated that it might be better for them to start there own company. Which is what your example did. I was actually supporting the idea of going back to college whenever you feel like it. I just thin having done adult films might make it harder than the average student. college is hard enough as is, let alone for any one who is famous. Me personally I don't think i woudl be able to concentrate next to Sasha Grey I woudl be trying to propose to her every second.

Unless they're heavily tattooed and pierced in a manner that is noticeable, they shouldn't have any problem. Down here in South TX, in San Antonio we got an ex-playboy bunny who's a lawyer, Rebecca Ramos. With that degree, if you can't find a law firm that will hire you, and you got yourself some experience, you can open your own practice. Or these girls can get their MBA and manage a chain of strip clubs, manage the boring business end of a porn studio.....

Or just do this:

Why save the world, when you can rule it?
You're unbelievable. What a closed mind you have! I just hope the OCSM Lisa Sparks doesn't see this. And if she does you should be highly insulted by saying something like this.

Like Vodkazvictim and revidfum are saying... if these ladies have the ability to improve themselves, why not take that option to do better? And of course to obtain a higher degree.
:nono: CAUTION! agreeing with Vodkaz Victim automatically renders ones opinions null and void. :nono:

Your guidance councillor was a former stripper?
No wondeer you ended up where you are
Just kiddin' :D
How r u as a manageress? Do you flap in the rush? Do they tease you about it? How do you feel knowing every waiter at your work has cracked one off watching you?
Which career do you value more highly? I teach part time, but hospitality got under my skin & I just enjoy workin' in the industry, won't give it up. Strange eh?
Or they'll have to get back into porn to pay off their debt..
Yeah, I'm sure the lion's share goes to the model & not the owner of the production company

I would think only a very small number of retired pornstars attend college. The number who finish is even smaller. The number who finish as lawyers or with a MBA are about as rare as a disease free pornstar.

I just don't see many finishing with something useful unless you think women's studies or human sexuality is useful. If a retired pornstar wants to earn more than minimum wage the calling is as a
stripper, getting naked on webcam for money, escort or hooters.

Most porn stars are disease-free.

A lot of them are perennial students, going to college without any REAL intentions of doing anything. They just think it makes them look smart. Avy Scott has been "attending college" for the last 10 years...lol.
