Retired porn stars attending college

I know Savannah Stern is one of those. What's the point? Once they graduate, it's not like they're gonna be able to find a job once their potential employer does a background check...

It seems like a waste of time & money.

Why save the world, when you can rule it?
Who says background check will find out?
Also, fuck you. Everybody has the right to improve themself and education and knowledge are allways valuable things.

A lot of girls plan for the future...you can't be in front of the camera for ever. Some seek an alternate occupation, some step behind the cameras and continue to thrive.

You're unbelievable. What a closed mind you have! I just hope the OCSM Lisa Sparks doesn't see this. And if she does you should be highly insulted by saying something like this.

Like Vodkazvictim and revidfum are saying... if these ladies have the ability to improve themselves, why not take that option to do better? And of course to obtain a higher degree.

Uh, there are plenty of careers where they are not going to give 2 shits whether or not you've done porn.

It's mostly going to be public relations jobs or jobs with kids, that would be an issue.

It all depends on you boss and whoever talks to smack in the office.

I used to have a teaching position (when I merely did very tasteful nude modeling) and my coworkers talked MAD smack about it.
To the point that I would eat my lunch outside by the dumpsters every day. Ahahaha that sounds so pathetic, because it is!

Awww that is so shallow of them.
I heard of some lady getting laid off recently in the
town next to mine for making adult films as well.
What a shame...
Wait, what do you do now?

Poor you.

it goes both way you can't be a porn star and go to college and get a good job ( not happening) But if you get an education then you can start you own business. So I say go for it and do your thing. ( I would advise all entertainers to invest outside of entertainment just in case)

I went to college had a bunch of friends I graduated with get good jobs in Hollywood. I didn't so I kept studying and taking online classes. I started a small business and no that is is starting to take off I'm making the same amount of money but have room for lots of improvement.

the moral of the story I don't see Sasha Grey becoming an ER doctor, but she's smart and seems to be making quite a lot of money.

CHances are if they run a background check they will find that said potential employee probably works for some studio or production company LLC. There is a huge world of difference between background check and what is on a resume. Sirfartsalot why don't you do what your parents did and find a job sir! Condolences the hippies lost!

Who says all employers give a shit about whether or not someone used to work in porn or be a stripper or whatever? They most certainly don't. You know how when you fill out an application for a job and there's that question about whether you have ever been convicted for a felony, and if so, why? They're not allowed to discriminate based on that kind of stuff. Even people currently in prison that get work leave are awesome workers, because they're happy just to get out of jail for a little while.

I used to do straight up porn, currently an adult model, and I have had no problem finding jobs. I'm a restaurant manager right now as well (have been for about 2 years), and months ago, I straight up told my boss that I used to do porn. I had to because there was an employee that found my videos and was going around showing everyone, so I decided to take a stand and tell my own boss about her poor behavior of mixing up personal lives with work, especially considering that I'm her boss (well, WAS her boss. She got fired a couple months later). And my boss doesn't care about my past, we've talked about it and she thinks no less of me at all.

Hell, my old high school guidance counselor used to be a stripper. Sure, some of the students talked about it behind her back, but she still had the job. Most employers don't discriminate against such things.

It's not cool of you to talk about porn stars like that. We are regular people.

You heard it here first porn stars, don't attempt to better yourselves or further your education in any way because the fact that you have appeared in porn clouds your very being and makes you a detriment to civilised mainstream society.

Once your usefulness as a masturbation aid has come to an end, stagnate. You've lost all of what you'll ever be good for. There's no point living.

Just making sure i to clarify I think it's good thing anyone goes back to school, whether porn star or not. In my personal opinion ti will just be harder for you to find other work. Not to mention the chance of someone finding out and trying to use it against you. Congrats on the restaurant management Job to Harley Spencer, hope my comment didn't offend.

Your previous post didn't offend me, it just came across as ignorant (don't confused ignorant with arrogant).

Right, I became a restaurant manager at the age of 19, after having done porn, with no high school diploma or GED. I'd say that's pretty impressive. Thanks for the congrats!

Your past does not always matter. Porn stars are just as entitled to going to college and moving on with their lives as anyone else in this world, and no less capable. Who's to say a porn star can't become a judge, lawyer, police officer, teacher, nurse, etc? It's not unlikely. Porn stars aren't stupid, disgusting, undeserving of a good life or good paying job, undeserving of being married or having children, or anything else- porn stars are real people. For all anyone knows, that girl at the coffee shop you go to every morning could be a porn star, but you'll never know. That nurse sticking an IV in your arm could be ex-porn star, but you'll never know.

Someday, I will go to college and land a damn good career, and no one can stop me.

EDIT: PS. I'm not trying to offend you either.

I suppose you have a point, Harley Spencer i just think certain things will be harder depending on the way people view you. Having done small things behind the scenes and getting to talk to a few stars I feel they deserve more respect than they get. In some cases they work much harder than mainstream actors.

It's just I have a friend who got a felony obstruction of justice charge ( long story) and it is very hard for him to find work. Lots of people look at the obstruction of justice and completely turn him off.

I have nothing bust respect for anyone person who works hard no matter the trade, I just think something will be easier.
