Resistance: Retribution for the PSP

is a really great game for the PSP. It's right up there with God of War: Chains of Olympus in terms of best PSP game. The game engine is based off the Syphon Filter PSP engine (which I've never played). The story's great, the weapons are tight, and most importantly, it's challenging. The single player is surprisingly long too. I haven't gone online yet but from what I hear it's really well done, better than Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops.

The only gripes I have about the game is that it's really hard to manually aim with the PSP (sometimes when you wanna go for headshots on certain moving enemies it's really tough), and the fact that I don't have a PS3, so I can't play the alternate infected storyline.

Great game though, really shows how good the PSP can be if developers believe in it. 8/10 in my opinion.

I played the demo and thought it was cool, I really like the Resistance storyline. I have to agree that the aiming sucks s oI'll probably play it using my PS3 controller. I heard you finally get to kill those damn water chimera.(forgot their name)

Yeah, it's a great game, I really recommend it. Beat it 2 days ago and still have to go back and do some skill points to unlock some weapons. The ending was awesome and definitely worth it.

I did try online though and it's kickass. You can play Team Deathmatch, Free For All, Assimilation (where you have to stay alive as long as possible before being infected), Containment (taking over the opponents' reactor cores), and Capture the Flag. There's a chat box to talk to people when not in a game, you can join clans, get medals to increase your rep by killing a certain amount of people with specific weapons, and you can increase your rank.

It's addicting. I expected to play only one or two games, but ended up playing 5 or 6 with the same people. Good stuff, although you may occasionally run into some bitch who likes to hack the game and give himself infinite health online...
