Yes, it is getting out of hand. I agree they need to stick to the Constitution....but lets face it, the Dems, and the far left aren't much better, they just have different agendas, and priorities. I'll not go to the "gun grabbing" issue, but it starts there, and includes many other rights violations.
I've always said, it doesn't matter the letter next to their name, they're all the same.
Except for Ron Paul.
This is one of the downfall of the bipartism of american politics : Both Dems and Reps have their "extreme" wing (extreme right for the Reps, extreme left for the Dems) that, in reality, doesn't belong to the party (or maybe, in the case of the Reps, it's the "moderate" wing that doesn't belong to the party...).
Instead (or maybe beside) of Democrats and Republicans, the USA should have some other parties : Liberals, Conservatives, Socialists, Christians, etc...
'cause, correct me if I'm wrong but, to me, a man like Ron Paul has more in common with Bill Clinton than he has with Rick Santorum. Doesn't he ?
In Europe, these two guys (Ron and Rick) wouldn't be in the same party.
