Religion is...

If you were to examine human history, at the roots of all of our differences lies one thing: Religion. Race, hair color, eye color, social class, fuck...those things back at the beginning meant absolutely ****...it was religion that mattered. It is a creation that serves to fulfill our innate quest for purpose in our lives. We use it as a way of life, but more importantly another way to distinguish ourselves and divide our species. Mankind on one side of the earth use to believe the sun rose because of the great gods for all, while the other man on the other side told you that the sun was just for him. Religion was spawned to give explain the inexplicable. But in the end, it was just another tool for man to manipulate its own people. On the surface many things appear to be unrelated to religion. But I would say that the way we choose our lives is heavily influenced by the way we view our roles and purposes in our lives. This comes directly from the way we carry out our beliefs, which are represented through our religious belief. There needs to come a time where we can become satisfied with existence for what it is, not for what we THINK it is...a movement towards a world that does not need purpose, or importance. Im not saying people who use religion are weak, and certainly there is a whole lotta really good stuff that comes from religions. But paradoxically religion most certainly serves as the biggest gap we have within our species. It tells us how to live our lives, and everything we do on this planet is somehow influenced by religion. The fear and hatred spread by conflicts such as Christians/Muslims will only continue to be exploited by the Osamas, and Crazy Koran burning guys as long as the fuel exists...Im sick of this world trying to always figure everything out, and I am sick of how religion has ********* and divided our species from the beginning.

Is it better to live in the world we live in today? Or would the absence of religion cause chaos?
