Red Dead Redemption

Just started playing through this again since it was first released. I'm still amazed at everything about this game.
I can't believe they were able to pull off the visuals they did on the current hardware (360). The voice acting is top notch and most importantly (and missing in most blockbuster games) the writing is absolutely stellar. I grew up watching westerns and RDR is an amalgum of all the best parts of those movies. If RDR was a western movie itself it'd go down as one of the all time greats.

The first time you ride down from the highlands and saw the panaroma of the landscape stretched out below you knew this was something special.

An absolute masterpiece and just hope they have a sequel in the works.

I went thru it again a few months ago when I got ahold of the game of the year edition. Still great and I ending up liking Undead Nightmare.

This game is easily in my top 5 all time. Maybe the most well written and executed story of any game I've ever played. Undead Nightmare was great fun, I just wished they'd come out with a full-on story expansion, like GTA4's TLAD or BoGT.
