My all-time favorite horror movie is Dead Alive (Braindead) because of Baby Selwyn and the overall campiness and humor of the movie.
And if you like killer babies like I do, check out the It's Alive trilogy.
Otherwise, I have a soft spot in my heart for any anthology type movie with various stories in it. Creepshow 1 & 2 and some of the ones mentioned by Hedonis come to mind. The Twilight Zone movie and Tales from the Darkside are also in this category.
One movie not to be missed IMO is Salo or 120 Days of Sodom. A great adaptation of de Sade's classic novel.
As long as that flick fucks you up, you might as well go and watch Cannibal Holocaust, Cannibal Ferox or any of the Faces of Death series. I don't even watch these because of the scenes with animals that are generally not faked.
I can't handle those.
