It's getting a wee bit depressing with threads like (Is this forum dead), so here's something slightly different for those who have watched Ready Player One.
I watched it again last night and since it's third time around, I spent more time looking at the various game and movie items added to the movie instead of focussing on the story. I noticed a few items from different movies and games, not just the big items like the DeLorean, King Kong or Akira's bike. It got me wondering how many others are in there, I'm 100% positive I missed loads. So why not ask the people in here who have watched the movie at least once and see what they noticed and where they spotted it.
As a start (some big ones deliberately not listed):
I-Rok's first scene: Martian War machine from the Gene Barry War of the Worlds, also on the ground and later on when he loses all of this shit Perseus's shield from the Harry Hamlin Clash of the Titans. Lastly the gun he's holding is the original assault rifle from Halo.
In the disco fight scene: Artemis first pulls out the Pulse rifle from Aliens, then at the end of the fight, she's dual wielding handguns. One of which is the Sylvester Stallone, Judge Dredd Lawgiver. I didn't notice what her other handgun was.
Almost final scene in the mock up bedroom: On the wall, there's a poster for the game Jouster. This was straight from the book, the first task was to win Jouster.
So, what else did people spot?
