Am I the only one that doesn't care if something gets re-posted! I mean do you have to go out of your way to tell everyone that?

Like I'm going to die if I have to look at a set of pics of a hot chick again. I could see if it was posted over and over! But I'm not gonna go through hundreds of post to see if it was posted 6 months ago!

Some people get upset about it. I don't, it's getting harder all the time to check if a gallery has already been posted.

Once I even got negative rep from a moderator for re-posting a gallery of a chick accidentally...

Technology may one day give remedy to reposts, but for now . . I don't think that it hurts to observe
(< backward) about 10 posts just to stay in touch with the thread . . or maybe try a "search" depending on what you're doing. I do find it kind of bogus when there's a repost 2 - 3 entries apart. That's kind of a flagrant fowl . . err foul, that is.

I don't care at all.... specially if it is a girl I like. I am even happy to see her gallery again.
And also if a link is broken we may be able to have the same gallery from an other site.
But, as Facetious wrote, I don't like when they are few entries apart and I would add on the same page.

I don't mind reposts.

When I post links, my links are supposed to be fairly new, so I go back 1 or 2 pages to compare links and make sure no one has posted that exact link before. If they haven't, I post it. The pictures may have sometimes been posted in other galleries, but at least the link is new. I've only had one person ever complain to me that I made a repost.

Who are these people that complain about reposts? Who gives a shit, really? If we all worried about reposts nobody would contribute anything and Freeones would become a ghost town. If seeing a pic or gallery twice on the same day is your biggest problem, consider yourself lucky.

I think a minimum of browsing one page is not too much to ask and is entirely appropriate. I'd say that you should go at least 2 pages (the current one and then the one before it) to see if your link/thread has been posted. Beyond that it's not really a big deal.

But if it's something that gets reposted more than three times, I think it's sufficient to point it out because we all don't want to see the same thing over and over again.

The vast majority of the time it doesn't bother me, but every once in a while somebody takes it to the point of ridiculousness. Even then I let the moderators do the moderating. :dunno:

I don't have a problem with re-posts for the most part. However it is a little bit annoying when there is a re-post just a couple of posts after it has been originally posted.
