Interesting interview he did in '91. See it on YouTube. He emphatically supported Jim M. as a person and he hated Stone's portrayal. Ray co-founded the band with Robby at UCLA then he ran into Jim during film school classes.

Damn, that sucks. I actually got to see him and the remaining Doors about 12 years ago. Even without Jim it was a really good show. Ray was a great musician.

Yeah, he was. For what the band was, (3 musicians), they had a lot fuller sound, then many of their peers.

And I just read on Yahoo, that Trevor Bolder died of cancer. He was the bass player on the David Bowie, Spiders From Mars album, and latewr bassist for Uriah Heep. He was 62
