I wish you lots of luck Dawn.
Not to hijack your thread but I'm on my second week of trying to stop using dip (skoal, chewing tobacco, etc).
I've been doing it on and off for years but I finally decided I needed to stop..and my wife also decided for me that I needed to stop, because she hated it and I was always trying to hide doing it.
The first few days sucked, but I think I'm at the point where the Nicotine is out of my system, but it's the damn habit that I miss. When I'm driving home from work I want a dip. When I'm playing golf with my buddies I want a dip. After a beer...I want a dip. If I'm working in the yard, a dip would be so good.
Every time I go to a gas station or convenience store, I'm tempted to buy a can, but I just try to get out quick. I'm really just trying to keep taking it one day at a time. I wish I could find a replacement habit for it that wasn't harmful, but I'll just keep resisting the urge and I'm sure at some point I won't be thinking about it all the time.
Man these habits are hard to kick.
