Question about downloading games from PSN

i see that they have one of my favorites on PSN.It's the old PS1 game Magic Carpet.Now even though it's only 6 bucks,I don't want it if it starts to lag like it did when there was a lot of shit on the screen at once on the PS1.

My question is to anyone who has downloaded any of the old laggy PS1 games,do they play pretty much lag free now that they are being played on a PS3 console?

When you talk about Lag on the ps1, I have to ask you if the game was dev'd like shit, cause if it doesnt have online stuff going on why would there be any Lag? If you are talking about frame rate slow down which is the equivelent of online lag but in an offline game, than I dont see that issue being addressed on an old game before it hits a newer console.

Im afraid that the only way you will find out Mr Zell is if you just go ahead and try the game.....sorry I cant help.

they dont lag by any means (load screen or gameplay) ps3 will make it run faster. ive downloaded crash bandicot, destruction derby and syphon filter and they all work really well. i would stay away from shooter games like syphon filter though. the gameplay is the same as it was which means it fucking sucks compared to present day games. you have to move and/or line up shots using the d-pad and it so frustrating if your used to a thumb joystick. other than that its fun. its like watching a movie from the 80's, can be fun, some good story lines, but difficult to sit through because it looks like a home movie.

That's kinda what I thought,but I just wasn't sure.I guess I'll spend the 6 bucks then.

I've downloaded Twisted Metal 2, 2Xtreme and never had any problems.
