And Arizona will elect this idiot Jr....why? Because Arizonans are fucking stupid. Sorry FOs Arizona membs. but the facts are the facts...and you will most certainly prove this true but putting this imbecile into a g'ment office...even though he's clueless as demonstrated by this dumb ad.

This is no time for the democrats to be chiding Mr. Q idiot & clueless,
he's 100% correct! . . . soft spot there I guess. :wince:

So who's this Quayle kid running against, do we have a profile available for review? I assume that it's another pro 'comprehensive immigration reform' (pro open border) lacky?

I'll do you one better, today's democratic party are the ones who are stupid, just look around at their target market constituency, all of the willingly non english speaking, the helpless needy government dependent welfare lifers, you know, the lowest possible common denominator types, yea, not exactly the brightest people in the world.

Stop acting so stupidly! :nono: :1orglaugh

Without delving into each rant you make here...I will say to my surprise..even Arizonans aren't stupid enough to fall for another Quayle.:surprise:

I suppose a Quayle never falls far from the nest...:1orglaugh This goober rents his nieces to imply he's raising his fam in the AZ.

Like father, like son? Quayle stumbles in Arizona

PHOENIX – Seems like old times — Jay Leno cracking Quayle jokes on late night. But now the rising target of comics is Ben Quayle, son of the gaffe-prone former vice president, who is committing doozies of his own in his campaign for Congress.

Campaigning as a family-values conservative, Ben Quayle first denied then admitted that he wrote for a sex-steeped Arizona website.

The racy website's founder, Nik Richie, said Quayle used the alias "Brock Landers," the name of a character from the 1997 movie "Boogie Nights" about porn stars in California, and wrote lines such as: "my moral compass is so broken I can barely find the parking lot." The website, now known as TheDirty.com, recently reposted the 2007 entries.

Quayle said he couldn't recall what his posts involved or when he made them.

This came out just days after Quayle sent a campaign mailer showing his wife and two young girls, with the words, "We are going to raise our family here." He and his wife have no children; the girls were his nieces. Campaign rival Vernon Parker accused Quayle of "renting a family."

"Good way to start the campaign," Leno cracked on the "Tonight Show," reminding the audience of Quayle's lineage.

The goofs revive memories of his dad's missteps as vice president in President George H.W. Bush's administration. Classroom stumbles in spelling, musings on how terrible it is not to have a mind and questions about his military service — or lack thereof — dogged the senior Quayle, whose political career ended with the GOP ticket's one-term loss in 1992.

Arron Bradford, a 37-year-old Phoenix resident and independent voter, said there's "a fairly heavy stigma to the whole Quayle name. I think that's a detriment to him, unfortunately, at least as far as I'm concerned."

Obama defeated McCain among voters of every education level from high school grads on up, including absolutely crushing him among those with post graduate degrees (17% of all voters). Obama also defeated McCain 52 to 48% among America's highest income earners.

But hey, why let the facts get in the way of a really stupid stereotype? :)

Legzman

what the fuck you lookin at?
Obama is an idiot. But probably not the worst. Well unless he pulls off the mosque thing...

Quayle could have turned that one around. All he would have had to say to the old geezer was "Gee, I guess it's a good thing I didn't compare myself to your good friends George Washington or Abraham Lincoln either then..."

That may work on radio or talk tv, but that kind of comment wouldn't work in a Vice President debate. :nono:

Quayle got fookin' pwned. He did the right thing--look straight ahead, blush and act like someone just taxed that ass.

That moment was utter humiliation. He fled to Arizona to escape the pain of that ream job.

Yes, and he could have turned it around and owned the other putz if he had been a little quicker on his feet.

Why do you think it would work on "talk tv" but not on a televised debate? It was an insult, no different than what he said to Quayle. You might not have liked it because your guy would have been the one on the receiving end, but it certainly would have returned the shot that Benson fired over his bow.

But but..isn't that sort of like saying the gazelle could have turned it around on the cheetah if it were faster, stronger and had deadlier fangs?:dunno:

So basically...there is an inherent reason why the gazelle is the prey and the cheetah is the predator.

It's one thing to call a politician incompetent...it's another to make an attack on age...I might be mistaken but Quayle was the 40 yr old "noob" VP pick chosen because he looked fresh and young next to a tired, old looking George HW Bush....and since the Repubs worshipped the oldest president on record -- Ronny Reagan--an ageist attack probably would turn off the GOP's base :dunno:

Quayle walked into that one. He got bent over on national tv.

I see you are still playing the same game Mega. Anyone on the right thinks the way they do because they are stupid. How original. Your opinion of every republican is exactly the same. Can't you come up with anything new? :lame:

I'm not going to try and defend Quayle. He was obviously not ready for the national stage. Was he an "idiot"? I don't think either of us knows enough about the guy to make that determination.

But we were supposed to know enough. It's called the political process. How else do we decide on who to vote for? :dunno:

As I just said to Mega, I'm not going to try and defend Quayle. You're right. He did walk into a huge attack that basically took him down for good.

As for whether an ageist attack would have worked with the GOP's base, I think it could have. At that point, that's about all that could have saved Quayle in that debate. People on both sides tend to like hearing things like that - if their guy is the one dishing out. They get offended when their guy is the one taking it. Just like how you love what Benson said to Quayle, or how I love all the times Ronald Reagan skewered Jimmy Carter and Fritz Mondale. It's just human nature probably. No biggie.

I know it's totally unrealistic, but I would like to think we listen to the ideas and opinions of all the candidates, and then vote for the ones who we think will do the best job.

You would think by the time they are running for president they would have already proven that they have at least an above average level of intelligence. Sometimes it's just not the case.

Okay...lemme say it a different way...you say had Quayle been quicker on his feet ..blah blah blah...

My point is..he's not and the hypothetical of him being quicker on his feet is like saying if the the gazelle was stronger, faster and had bigger fangs than the cheetah.

The gazelle doesn't so the hypothetical is no different from hypothesizing whether the sun will come up or not.

You don't need to rephrase it a different way. I'm not an idiot. I understood your analogy the first time you presented it.

I wasn't trying to defend Quayle. I was just making a comment. Sheesh.

If you would like, I could dredge up all the instances where Reagan made his opponents look like idiots, and there were MANY of those instances, but it doesn't really prove that the current democrats are idiots any more than the incompetence of Dan Quayle or George W. Bush proves anything about other republicans.

Ace Bandage

The one and only.
^^ I'm pretty sure that Dan Quayle had something to do with his son being an incompetent Republican. Just sayin'...
