Thats a LOT of games this year just for the PS3 (they will be ONLY ON PlayStation 3). So if you're a gamer or just looking for a reason to own a PS3 - heres your reasons!

MAG looks fucking awesome, a war MMO is wicked, Battlefield 2 set the scope for how good a game like that could be but then the franchise went backwards which is sad... call of duty should start introducing more players like over 64.... real war type scenarios

GT5 will no way be released this year, the creators say Christmas 2010 is likely (what the fuck do they do all day? just play their older games????)

Killzone 2 i think will be a forgettable GOW clone, will be good but not a killer game.

On PS3 I am looking forward to Yakuza 3, God of War3, any littlebigplanet addons and of course Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (awesome multiplayer and gfx on PS3)

80 keeps you prepared for downloadable content better but the hard drive is just a laptop hard-drive so if you find a good bargain a 40gb is fine

only the original 60gb consoles play PS2 games sadly, will probably find some of those on ebay

so, there's no difference in getting a 40 or 60 or 80 GB? if not...i would probably get the cheapest one...thanks for the info

The 80GB and 40GB are exactly the same, the only difference is the Hard Drive size (which really doesnt matter because you can put a much larger one in either anyway). Neither play PS2 games.

You can no longer get the 60GB but it is the best version to have because it DOES play PS2 games, but you'll need to buy a pre owned one unless you're lucky enough to find a new one because they no longer make this model.

And all PS3's play PSOne games, whether it be the 40GB, 60GB or 80GB.

Actually, the creator, Kazunori Yamauchi has stated that it will definately be out by 2010. They've been working on it for years - it cant take that long.

The only one there that even gets me a little bit interested is Gran Turismo 5. I do not like the Playstation controllers for playing shooters, it is very uncomfortable for me.

get the cheapest deal you can find, you can always upgrade the hard drive later since it's a standard 2.5" laptop drive. you can also attach an external drive through USB for movies/music, or stream media from your computer to the PS3 through the built-in wireless.

- Huxley
- Halo Wars
- 2 days to Vegas (Timed exclusive for PC and 360)
- Project Forza 3
- Lionhead Project Dimitri (Confirmed that Lionhead will release a game in 2009)
- Rare Project 1 (Rare always releases at least 2 games each year)
- Rare Project 2
- GTA IV Episode 2

Nothing great there either, just pointing out that both consoles have a nice selection of garbage coming out exclusively this year!

Killzone 2, God of War 3, and DC Universe Online are the only games on that list that I would want to play so it's not enough to make me go out and buy a PS3 yet. I'll just stick to my XBOX 360 for now.

I really liked Perfect Dark Zero, would be a shame if Rare didn't continue that franchise

Forza should be good, now that PGR got ruined by PGR4 :bowdown:
