LOL, thats what I do also, make sure they owe me a game,then put the new release on top of the que w/stuff below it that isnt released yet. It hasnt failed me once. I got prototype set up to come from Gfly myself. Thurs. its out on Gfly? I hope it gets here by the weekend but thats tough.
Theres been alot of hype for awhile about prototype but it got under my radar as well due to all the past holiday games Ive been churning out beaten.

The hype on GTA IV is what makes the games flaws stand out more than anything else. If we'd not heard so much about the damn thing, the piss poor car and bike physics might have been easy to let go and get on with it.
But as it stands, something hailed as a 10/10 deserves every single negative piece of feedback it gets. If it gets rated so highly, then flaws will be hunted down more than ever. As no game is worth 10/10.
San Andreas is a better GTA than GTA IV will ever be IMO and it has less flaws than GTA IV and it got a lesser score. It's good then that I do not take seriously idiots on sites that review games and rate them so highly as to give games 10/10 and 9.5/10. The highest rating any game should have is a 9 and no more. As there is no such thing as perfection [unless we're talking about Jessica Alba].

CAN be bad for a game. There is the rare occasion when a game lives up to expetations. That's the same with games, movies, music and even television shows.
Like Ravenholm said, the hype made the flaws visible. If we hadn't heard a thing about GTA4 before it came out, it would have been probably the greatest moment in every gamers life the first time they played it. Instead, we expected it to be fucking amazing, and luckily, it was...

Maybe GTAIV wasn't the best example. Halo 3 was overhyped. And was garbage regardless! I expect nothing less than total shit from Halo ODST
I'll agree with the Halo 3 point, not so much with GTA.
I agree with the Halo3 point also. I know my posts seem very PS3 biased but Halo to me is old news. I have all 3 playstations and both xboxs and love both companys but I think there's better stuff on PS3 right now. I agree that HaloODST will be mediocre unless you are a Halo freak. Side stories dont make it very well even if its Halo.

My whole point with GTAIV was that it was overhyped. And didn't live up to the hype, but it wasn't a bad game.
Back on topic. Gamefly yesterday sent me verification that they received both games I had sent back. Prototype released today and they still haven't shipped me shit! What...the...fuck??? I had no games, no games are currently being shipped. A new game is released and they send all the copies to other assholes? :dunno: now I'm a little bit pissed! I won't get any fuckin game in time for the weekend now. Ah well, good thing I have to work all fuckin weekend anyway.

I am with you on the GTA shit.. I actually hate that game because it was so over hyped.
And as far as gamefly I think they are a huge rip off unless you play games every single day of your life
Eh, for me it works out because I actually don't play everyday, but I can still get two games at a time for about $20 a month, and I usually get between 6-8 games per month because most of the time I don't play the games for all that long.
From what i've heard about the game, Prototype seems pretty sweet gonna pick it up sometime this week...

Its fine for me most of the time. I don't buy many games. Only a very select few that I know I'll play for several months. Other than that I normally spend around 40 - 50 a month renting games anyway, so its actually a whole lot cheaper for me this way.
To get it to work you gotta send them their game back alittle more ahead of time if you want a new release,it has to process a day or two. What I do is have them owe me a game for at least a week,to play it safe,and then have the new release on top of your Que w/nothing below it that is out already. Put a bunch of coming soon titles below it and you'll get your game.
This hasnt failed me in 2 years. They sent out protoype to me thurs. and prob will get it today depending on what warehouse it came from.
