Maybe you're right? :dunno:
Somehow strange that the men were accused of this issue, altought women are at least as active party.
Men are tempted, women are accused as well.
In fact it's rather ironic that when the police arrest and fine a prostitute, the poor girl must then go back out onto the street to perform even MORE acts of prostitution in order to pay the fine!
Interestingly enough, Philosophy teachers in Ancient Greece were regarded as being worse than prostitutes because whereas prostitutes only sell and debase their bodies, teachers sell and debase knowledge.
The question should be, why would you want to prevent prostitution? Humans are so slow to learn lessons sometimes. Despite thousands of years of "civilized" living, we still ignore the fact that we usually fuck **** up a lot worse when we try too hard to prevent it. This is ESPECIALLY true when we try to legislate morality to the populace.
Why would you want to prevent prostition?
1: Because women are not infrequently ****** into the profession.
2: Because if you can buy a prostitute's body, that's one step closer to buying people; slavery.
3: Because prostitutes spread diseases.
4: Because women like your ****** give the profession a bad name (sorry, couldn't resist!)
5: Because prostitution makes it that much more likely that infidelity will occur.
6: Because prostition is the cause of human trafficking.
7: because prostition may distance a woman from her body.
8: Because prostitutes frequently suffer lasting psychological damage.
9: Because prostition is frequently associated with other types of crime (eg narcotic). Yes I know this is a poor reason, you are welcome to strike it from the list.
10: Because prostitutes are frequently victims of ********.
11: Because the Bible says so (I think).
12: Because the Khoran says so (I think).
13a: Because without women being prostitutes, those women would then be available for guys to date, rather than hire, resulting in a more equal relationship between men & women.
14: Because I say so (when my Wife is around)
How fucked up is it that a girl can fuck anyone she wants, but the moment she takes money in return, WHAM...she's a criminal
What the fuck is that?
Is there anything else like this? Where something you do for free is legal, but if you charge for it, you're breaking the law?
While I agree with your sentiment, I feel the need to point out that many women who have many sexual partners are labelled as sluts and ostracised, even if they are entirely honest about their practices and use protection.
Prostitution should be legalised and regulated, making it safer for all parties and producing taxes.
^^Agree 100%
