Well.. he DOES look the part.

I think it'll be amazing to make a decent movie out of it.. and I dont know if he can swing the persian accent. lol

This is just my personal opinion, nothing against Gyllenhaal, but come on now. I realize that some times they use actors of different ethnicities to play certain ethnic roles, but was it that hard to find someone who at least looks Persian? I'm sure there are plenty of talented Persian actors that could have played the part.

Aye. He wasnt that buff even back in the JARHEAD days. Good to see him actually packing on some muscle. I know a few guys that still rip on him for that Brokeback bit. But with Ledger dead.. ehh, they lost some of that steam. Not all, tho.

or.. speaking from no experience.. what about that guy from Deuce Bigelow 1? You know.. the egyptian guy from the Mummy! He'd do just fine. Unless he's busy shooting the mummy 4 or Deuce 6. Whatever movie they're onto these days, I can never keep track.

If they could dress Reese Witherspoon up as a Persian princess.. that could be excellent wank material. Now that she's a MILF and all...

I think the story of the game would make a pretty good movie, and he does really look the part.

though, ive never gotten through the games, (i only rented), the story line it captivating. of course, im a fan of middle eastern/persian stories. im just glad i have no idea who the actor is, i enjoy movies a lot more when they arent huge popular stars.

if its based on the sands of time, im actually gonna be looking forward to seeing how it looks. it can either turn out cheesy and stupid or maybe good. we'll have to see.

Loved the newer games, now I thought if they ever made a PoP flick they should use Colin Farrell(?) as the Prince, oh well lets see how this ends up. Really liked the voice actors in the first game.
