President Bush "Knew Guantanamo Prisoners Were Innocent"

Except for the poor people whose health care I'll start paying for soon.

Nobody in your family is poor? Or if they are, you just don't care about their well-being?

I just read that you (yeah, they actually mentioned you by name in the article) will also be paying for private breast-milk pumping rooms/areas in any and all businesses that employ women who wish to pump breast milk while at work. I'm taking a guess that you feel like this about that fact:

And I guess it's safe to assume that you're using Colbert's quote - which was probably uttered as satire - with all sincerity??

Thanks for the thorough answers, though, AR!

Correction: Employers will have to provide the breast-milk pumping areas only if they have 50 or more employees (and obviously, an employee who could/would use such a place).

The one and only.

I'm sure I have a few cousins who are. One of them in particular is generally a bane on society. If you're suggesting that he should be eliminated (or at the very least be denied health care), I'm all for it.

I don't have a problem with this. Moms get a free pass for almost anything (granted, some of them probably shouldn't be having kids in the first place, but I digress :2 cents:). That's the toughest job you can have in life. My mom had to raise my brother and I pretty much on her own for awhile when we were really young. I have the utmost respect for anyone else in the same situation.

Absolutely. I wouldn't be a Conservative if I didn't misconstrue quotes to fit my agenda, right?

Thanks for the thorough answers, though, AR!
Always a pleasure. I'll be here all week. :hatsoff:

I claim the government owes me $1 billion dollars.

See how easy this is?

I was no W fan, but I find it very difficult to believe that they just picked up guys off a street and flew them to GITMO for no reason. I work with intel and AT guys and sorry, I don't buy it for a second. THey would have just shot them and left them in the desert if they were wrong. ;)

And for all the claims of "war crimes" from people, I've yet to see a definition of what it means.

How many warzones do you know of where detainees are immediately known whether to be innocent or not? That's the problem, you don't. That's what results when you have insurrection among civilians and people who try to pass themselves off as civilians.

Yes, innocent people are detained. Innocent people are always detained. This isn't some police that are rounding up suspects. This is a warzone. It happens. It still happens. It's still happening with Obama.

Should we now try Obama for war crimes too?

Hiliary 2020
war is hell.

i really can't buy that most of them were innocent.
and 12 and 13 year old sold to u.s, forces?
by whom? and why pay anything if they could just grab them off the street and create false charges?
that is where the story goes to far.

war is hell, and for all i know everyone of those guys are guilty of being the enemy in a time of war, that they intended to harm the people of the usa.
maybe a few were in the wrong place at the wrong time, if so i feel for them.

but i'm a little confused, where are all these prisoners now?
has obama freed them or given them trials?

and these lawsuits by these guys, being allowed to sue?
just shows how fucked up things have gotten round here.

but of course fk i believe youre all for the lawsuits aren't you?

No, I'm certainly not suggesting that your cousin "be eliminated."

But the record shows that you are. Family values - oh yeah!

So, I guess there are some things for others that you don't mind chipping in on? What a guy!

Absolutely. I wouldn't be a Conservative if I didn't misconstrue quotes to fit my agenda, right?

Well, if you realized that Colbert's words were originally uttered as satire, then you haven't misconstrued it so much as just appropriated it for your own purposes. But the potency of the quote is reduced, I think, when you credit it to Colbert. Just take it as your own - what's Colbert gonna do, sue you?

If I have to choose between the expert opinions of Wilkinson, who worked under Powell and was privy to highest-level discussions, and "CunningStunts".... I'm gonna go with... ??? ;)

As for the definition of war crimes, you'd be amazed how easy The Google makes finding this sort of information.
