just a question, there are threads which have > 1,000 posts which seems pointless; is it possible to reduce said threads or am I just asking a silly question?

I believe I read a couple days ago that if that were done, members would lose post count numbers. I don't know if it applies anymore since the change.

That is just silly..... I have no clue why implement function that dosnt count posts... Who cares if somone have 1000 grate posts and other one 1000 in games section... everyone has fun anyway.....

Maybe you don't, but the topic generated a huge amount of flaming before. So that's the best way to prevent that from happening again.

ummm, this may be too hard, but there are som threads in here that are "game threads" per say..such as information or news on the latest console or video games.

i believe these threads should still count toward post count, but the other threads such as member above me and random statement should not

just my 2 cents, that may be a little tough to monitor and accomplish but i just thought i should bring it up

I think if you post anything anywhere it should count.If you start making distinctions like this,it leads to someone judging if a post is meaningfull or not.A post is a post,no matter how important.Of course my opinion doesn't matter,i'm just a member here.

when people didn't follow the 'rules' of these games so i knew it would happen.

The main forum of 'Games and Stuff' gives you credits for your post count again.
Only the sub-forum doesn't.
