Re: Dream Killer---Porn Stars W/O Makeup

Well, there's already plenty of celeb gossip magazines such as People, Star, Ok, and Us, with plenty of embarrassing pics of different celebrities, so they already do this non-adult stars on a regular basis. People love to look at others at their worst, since usually we see them at their best, wish we looked like them, get jealous of them, compare ourselves to them, so when you see someone that's generally considered something of a goddess pictured as no better looking than the average girl you see on the street, it makes some people feel better about themselves and for some, it becomes an obsession. Otherwise these magazines and blogs wouldn't thrive as well as they do. That's what insecurity can do to a person.

And I agree, they don't faze me either. No one is perfect.

You hit the nail on the head when you said that's what insecurity can do to a person.

I can't believe for the life of me that people buy that crap or even give a flying fuck what a celebrity looks like in their day to day life. It's sad and strange. These people are jealous and insecure and thrive off of putting successful people down b/c they are too afraid to do anything in their own little life. Haters.

Who cares how someone, famous or not, looks with make up and without? There are many more important things to do with your time than spend it looking at this shit.

Right, exactly. Work on pleasing yourself and living life.

I don't give a damn what anyone looks like without makeup. It may be interesting to see, but it doesn't make me feel better about myself and doesn't mean they're ugly. We're all human, none of us looks perfect without being all primped and prettied, it's normal. From time to time I do, naturally, envy some girls bodies, but I don't go psycho over it, but rather I look for ways to improve my own body instead of looking for excuses to put other people down to make myself feel better.

I agree with this. It's interesting to see someone when they haven't primped and polished, and sometimes they look pretty great. I don't see it as much more different than seeing a movie or TV show where someone wears a lot of elaborate FX makeup and wondering what the actor beneath looks like. It really only gets offensive if you're looking to judge someone based on it, and that doesn't really take a lack of makeup. Bad lighting, bad days, makeup running... there are plenty of different ways to catch someone at a bad moment where they might not look their best. :dunno:

Obviously not what she meant, but if you want to include all of those Disney/Nickelodeon folks then, regardless... yes, they do.

Obviously? Not the way I read it.

Oh, I thought you were being facetious. :D

Pretty sure she meant non-adult as in folks who aren't in the adult industry.

This. I use the word "adult" as opposed to porn. Just my personal preference. For example, I don't consider myself as doing porn since I don't do hardcore, don't do boy/girl, and haven't done much girl/girl (none for my site), so I consider myself an adult model. Hence the word adult.

Mhm. I'm not sure when the whole "adult model" thing came into use :dunno:. When I was a youngin' Playboy was considered a porn mag and it's pretty much the anti-hardcore. Heck, I think you see more in some of those British "lads mags"...

As I've said before, I'm pretty sure Miss Hybrid isn't. I suspect she's a cyborg; half-man, half-machine... hence the whole "Hybrid" thing. :yesyes:

No makeup -vs- a ton of makeup. I see no real difference...

That's you? Huh, it looks like you might have a bit of a head cold or something in that pic on the right. Might want to take some vitamin C... clear that right up!

You never see lower lips in a lads mag, only boobs and bum. I nearly wrote "bush" for a second, but if plenty of models showed their front bottoms, you still wouldn't see any bush. Although I think bush is making a comeback, isn't it? I wonder how many times I can fit "bush" into a paragraph. Bush.

I don't think of Ms Spencer is in porn, or as an "adult model." Nymph, siren, angel.... or if I'm feeling inexplicably old school, "cracking bit of crumpet." :hatsoff:

Which is basically what Playboy used to be. Legs closed, always.

Might be. Seems like most things are a fad. If it is, I wonder what effect that'll have on the folks who've had a date with the ol' laser beam...

I tend to think of Harley as Harley :dunno:. As far as what she does for a living... I dunno, I grew up using the old term, but I've become familiar enough with the new term... so I'd probably be apt to use either or even just the term "model" since a lot of the stuff she does for her site, explicit or not, still has artistic merit meaning while it's certainly adult material, it's also more than just adult material in my eyes... assuming that makes any sense to anyone who isn't me.

According to the board, the new term is whore. :hatsoff:

In case it really isn't obvious, this was JUST A JOKE!!! No, I would not call her, other OCSMs or actually no woman a whore, duh!

You did see plenty of bush though. I can count on one hand the number of times a glimpse of a landing strip snuck into any lads mags. Loaded circa 97-98 let a few slip through the net but that's about it.

Actually some of the bushes in one or two of the PIB specials I've got are ginormous, well into the 90s. But of course in the early-mid 90s before I saw my first Men's World, that bush was the highlight of eroticism for me.

Sure, but if most girls had bush these days you'd see it in a lot of the poses I've seen from some of the lads mags. I mean, often the girls just have their legs together, so you're seeing everything but labia, which makes it... very Playboy-esque.

There's always a hand in the way, even if there is only the bare skin of the pelvic area to hide, it's still hidden. You never see Holly, Rosie or any of them showing off their "bush would be here."

Hmm, it's been awhile, but I'm pretty sure I've seen some "bush would be here" spots in Nuts. :dunno:

Maybe I'm mistaken as it's been sometime since I've glanced though one.

Re: Dream Killer---Porn Stars W/O Makeup

Don't take my word for it, I only live here and read them.

This kind of shot of Kitty from her calendar (that was publicized in a Nuts) is the closest it gets.

We have them here too. They sell foreign magazines, mostly British, in smoke shops. Sometime last year I had a bit of a thing for Mel Clarke and saw some pics that were everything but pink. Meh, perhaps that was from her Suicide Girls shoot or something... :dunno:

I always find it interesting that the threads people complain about the most are usually the most successful threads. And the ones most offended by them keep giving it life by continuing to post on sucky thread.

Nah, I think the most successful threads are the Official OCSM threads, OCSM of the Week, and the post count threads (what movie are you watching, what are you listening to, what are you drinking).

But generally, yes, people do tend to put more effort, time, and thought into things they dislike or disagree with than the things they appreciate.
