Last night I watched Galaxina on Satellite TV (the appropriately-named bad movies channel). A crap movie notable only for the actress playing "Galaxina" - the late Dorothy Stratten.

I was wondering - besides Ron Jeremy (The L.A. Riot Spectacular), Traci Lords (Virtuosity, The Tommyknockers, Blade I) & Nina Hartley (Boogie Nights), how many other porn stars have crossed over to mainstream film-making?

PS: this is soley aimed at released mainstream movies. Therefore I've excluded Vanessa Del Rio (who played herself in NYPD Blue), Linsey Dawn McKenzie (who appeared in "I'm Famous and Frightened" on UK TV and did appear in a mainstream movie ("The Van Boys"), which was shelved) and Teresa May.

I could be mistaken but I believe the actress you refer to in Galaxina was Monique Gabirelle, a former Playboy playmate, and not Dorothy Stratten. Like I said I may be mistaken and thinking of a differant movie.

You know...there are historic foundations and preservation foundations, libraries and archives for everything else that needs saved, preserved, and kept for historic value...to keep it from being lost in the passing years. Therefore, I for one would like to know....WHY ISN'T THERE SOMETHING LIKE THAT FOR PORN! just because it's over 30 years old doesn't mean that I don't want to see it, dammit!
