I've noticed that a lot of pornstars/internet models have more than one alias. I think it's because they seem more established if they have more than one. :dunno:

I understand changing the last name. For example Sandy Summers/Sandy Waltrick/Sandy Larosa. But how do you go from Zsanett Egerhazi to Vega Vixen to Sandy? Or what about Jana Miartusova to Nella??

Anyways, what's everyone's take on why they have more than one name? What are some of your favorite names? I would love to hear the take of some OSCM's on this topic. Enjoy. :glugglug: :thefinger

I have had my last name changed a lot. Jana Rocks, Jana Foxy, I dream of Jana, Yana were all nicknames that random photographers and webmasters had added to my real first name, Jana, which I have always gone by. It is funny when people think I AM THE ONE changing my name when in reality it's websites/magazines/photographers ect. that will change the last name to make it seem like i'm exclusive to their website or whatever. Jana Jordan is my only official name.

Hmm...I've always wondered why that happens. Now, I know!!!

But, to me, it seems like that would only hurt the photographers. Personally, if I was to have a website that featured pictures of porn stars, I would want to use their commonly known name to help attract members. I would plop Jana Jordan all over the place instead of "Jana Smith" (for example).

Nobody would know who the fuck "Jana Smith" would be...but everybody would know who Jana Jordan was and come to my site.

In many videos it's the Editors who fuck up the spelling of a name, if there is someone who actually edits the video. Then sites like IAFD and even Freeones perpetuate the misspellings in their performer databases. Also, on many sites and magazines, totally false names are used and these false names are sometimes listed as the performers real names by some sites.

Theres alot of different reasons why we all may have more than one name. I didnt pick my first stage name, Action Allie, nor did I have any input on it soooooo thats where I stand on that one.
As for Natalie Sparks which I go by now, I picked it. I just like the name Natalie, no meaning behind it and for sparks I used to drink alot of sparks awhile ago haha. well I guess thats not why but its cute and catchy. I thought about alot of different names before I started with Kate. Ive been asked why I didnt pick and exotic porn star sounding name... My answer is simple that I dont look exotic sooo a regular american name fits me.

possibility is that most girls get quite a bit of work in the first 3 months and then it tapers off...maybe her thought process was to change of name would get her an influx of "new" girl porn

A lot of it happens when the producers change the name like others have mentioned. Some of it also has to do with some people thinking another name might be more recognizable and more easily searched. Once in a while there will be a legal dispute with a name and that's why it's changed. I do agree that's it's irritating. Ideally, not only for simplicity, but from a marketing perspective they would want one name that works well to go by all their careers.
