If I'm going to sit and watch an hour or so then there has to be some kind of plot.
I'd say not really, but I think the theory is, especially with all these co-worker/poolboy/plumber/delivery guy scenes, that the average slob can watch it and think "yeah, that could happen to me!"
One of my favorite plot related scenes was in "Flashpoint," where someone had died and a dude and 2 chicks were on the couch feeling all sad about it and then they were like "I know, let's have a threesome!" Hilarious.

I hate it when theres a plot. Worse when the performers try to act and make it seem like a regualr movie with some fucking in it. I just want hi , hi lets fuck onto the scene. Then same again for next scene. You could call it MTV style editing but the reason I am watching a porno is I want to see fucking. If I wanted to see a plot I would have watched something else
No, plot does not matter, I fast forward to the fucking. In fact, I HATE porn with plots, especially the stupid movie parody ones. That's why "amateur" porn is sometimes better.
I think when people watch porn, they want something realistic. They want to see a scenario that they could relate to.

I ignore the plots unless they're really simple. Thirty seconds of explaining how the participants got together, then a couple minutes of flirting, then the clothes better come off. Any more plot than that and it's almost guaranteed to be terrible. Especially if there are zombies or aliens involved.
Example: A couple arrives at another couple's house for a foursome. They go inside, say hi to everyone, then start groping each other, then on to the sex scenes. It's enough so you know what's going on without getting bored. Not enough for a 90-minute movie, I suppose, but I prefer the 10-minute clips anyway.

For me plot matters a lot. It adds to the eroticism of porn. Good plot with some humour and sex scene well connected to the plot can make a one and a half hour porn flick much more interesting. And may be that's why I am finding myself more and more inclined towards classic porn.
