Politics it is.

I choose not to cite any particular story for this one because it's right there, everywhere for you to click on yourself, but:

Did you hear the one about the President who got into a pissing contest with an NBA team and the entire NFL?:brick::hairpull:

And by President, I mean President of the United States, Commander in Chief, Leader of the Free World.

Trump publicly criticized football players, following an example set last season by quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who have been kneeling during the national anthem to protest the nation’s racial disparities.

Trump urged NFL owners to fire the players and encouraged fans to walk out of games in their own protest.

“That’s a total disrespect of our heritage. That’s a total disrespect of everything that we stand for,” Trump told a rally Friday in Alabama, where he was campaigning for Republican Sen. Luther Strange.

“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, you’d say, ‘Get ... off the field right now. Out! He’s fired,” Trump said to loud applause.

If Trump really wants people to leave the stadium when they see a player knelling during the national anthem, he should offert these people a refund. Because when people buy NFL tickets, they don't really care about who's standing and who's kneeling, they wanna see the game they payed to see.

Also, sorry but owners are not gonna fire good players who happen to kneel. They have games to win. Tom Brady could take a shit on the pitch during the national anthem he wouldn't be fired.

Oh liberals. Just can't help yourself can ya. I just love watching Trump play you guys. Liberals are freaking the fuck out right now haha

At the start of Sunday’s first NFL game, members of the Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars sent a powerful message as the majority stood linking arms, while a number of others took a knee in response to President Trump’s tweet urging fans to boycott the sport until owners “fire or suspend” players who protest during the national anthem.

Ravens Coach John Harbaugh joined his players, linking arms, and Ravens Hall of Famer Ray Lewis took a knee. Jaguars owner Shahid Khan locked arms with his players. Khan is believed to be the second owner to participate in events related to anthem protests. Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam stood on field and locked arms with players, military personnel and first responders, in Week 1 of the 2017 season.

One Ravens player stood alone, but seemed to be in prayer. All players appeared to stand for the playing of the British anthem, “God Save the Queen.”

Oakland Athletics catcher Bruce Maxwell catapulted himself into the national political discourse on national anthem protests, one intensified by President Trump’s comments over the weekend, as he knelt for the song preceding a game against the Texas Rangers.

Maxwell, a 26-year-old rookie whose family has military roots, is the first MLB player to kneel during the anthem, following in the footsteps of former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who began kneeling during the anthem ahead of the 2016 NFL season. Since then several dozen athletes, mostly NFL players, have followed suit, using the gesture to protest police shootings of unarmed black men and to support the Black Lives Matter movement.

Maxwell, however, knelt also to protest comments by President Trump, according to his agent, specifically Trump’s call on NFL owners to fire or suspend players for kneeling during the anthem.

Of the 32 NFL owners, few are perceived as being closer to President Trump than Patriots owner Robert Kraft. As a result, many have been waiting to see whether Kraft will respond to the President’s verbal assault on players who would choose to protest during the anthem.

“I am deeply disappointed by the tone of the comments made by the President on Friday,” Kraft said in a statement issued by the Patriots. “I am proud to be associated with so many players who make such tremendous contributions in positively impacting our communities. Their efforts, both on and off the field, help bring people together and make our community stronger. There is no greater unifier in this country than sports, and unfortunately, nothing more divisive than politics. I think our political leaders could learn a lot from the lessons of teamwork and the importance of working together toward a common goal. Our players are intelligent, thoughtful, and care deeply about our community and I support their right to peacefully affect social change and raise awareness in a manner that they feel is most impactful.”

Do you think these players are doing this on their own?
They are property they do what theyre told. Just like actors and music people.
A year or so ago I was forced to watch an NFL game.
The whole thing was political. It was making me sick.
From the commentators to most of the commercials.
Its been that way for a long time.
Its part of the media, part of the propaganda machine just like music movies and tv.

I told you all Trump is playing the villian and he's happy to do so as long as they let him play Prez.

MP, you do this but you've been doing it a lot lately. Everyone on the planet except you is playing a role determined by someone else. No exceptions, except the aforementioned you. According to you, there is absolutely no such thing as free will. Anywhere. Paid actors, manipulated actors, unwitting accomplices, etc.

Again, we know this about you but, you've been really laying it on thick lately.

I could keep typing, but that's my response.

A recent survey said a quarter of NFL viewers stopped watching last year's games due to the national anthem protests. More Americans side with Trump on this issue. Trump is more in touch with the American voter than any other president in history

If a quarter of NFL viewers indeed quit watching, it's because they decided to stop whistling past the graveyard on the CTE issue. The numbers associated with all players literally getting their brains bashed in are absolutely terrifying. I mean, when you're a boxer or an MMA fighter, you know you're going to die, drooling on your collar when you're 53. But people, I presume, take pause in this happening to the entire friggin' offensive and defensive line. Because we're compassionate about shit like that.

You sir are a damn fool.
Sorry, I meant to say You sir are absoloutely correct.
I have been laying it on thick.
Because it's getting thick out there. Thicker than ever before.

I hate to use the word propaganda so much but this is exactly what this is.
We are being so heavily bombarded with it at this point most people can't even think clearly anymore.
And if you are going to commit to using propaganda to form an entire countries POV about everything youre going to use every possible thing.
NFL is a great tool for one because most people who watch it won't even know they are being propagandized.
"Must destroy Main Frame"
So yep, sticking to my point here because its reality.

Who is committing this "propaganda", where did they derive the power to do so, and to what end? How did "Starship Troopers" turn into the "Hippy-Dippy Tie Dye Hour"? Again Who, How and Why?

Yeah, but these are the same polls that said Hillary was going to win. Therefore it doesn't exist. So there. :thefinger:

I applaud him. This is actually a step up from tweeting about somebody's bleeding facelift. A small step perhaps, but still...
