No offense to the person who made the picture quiz, but #8 really isn't a good "question" if he is who you're hinting at. It's just an artist's rendering of a person who lived before the age of photography. Therefore, we don't know what he looked like.

As is 3 and 4.

But again from pictures done at the time they lived and also descriptions of them they can be painted to a very good resemblance.

So are you saying all three shouldn't be included?

As this is a picture quiz after all and not a photo quiz. But since I guess quite a few know who they are then why shouldn't they be included.

I could answer this more intelligently if I knew who #8 was. However, I do have a response regarding 3 and 4, but to give it here would be to give a strong clue. So, I'll PM you.

Well the artist who did #3 never met her, but that is one her favourites ever done on her. Maybe why it is the most famous.

#4 is easy because of the clothing, horse and especially the hat.

#8 was all too easy from the first picture anyway Petra. Plus I have noticed a theme running through them all which gives them all away. Was this intended?

I'm starting to think #2 was a mistake to put up since it's becoming clear that he's not so popular here in Europe. Though, I will put a quote up tomorrow when I reveal the correct answer and about everyone should reconize it.
