Picture attachements being randomly removed from posts - anyone else having this issue?

latest twist is that when on the "manage attachments" screen, it often takes multiple tries to get the picture in the queue...

pictures already posted are randomly showing up (with others disappearing) and then vanishing again later

worst is probably the "white dot of death" where the attachment shows just a white dot...this has happened for at least one picture in every post I have tried to make over the past few days...you can edit the post and re-attach, but it often takes multiple tries to get rid of the white dot of death

Some stuff has been reset, do you guys still have these attachment problems?

things seem to be back to normal as far as I can tell...posting new stuff is working smoothly, and old posts seem to have all the picture attachments back...thanks to all who helped address this issue
