I'm usually signed up for 2 sites at any given time. I gave up smoking years ago, so the money I saved there covers my porn budget, and my car payment, now that I think about it.

Protecting copyright is extremely difficult. I know one of the ladies that posts regularly on this board, who runs her own site, continually has trouble with pirates.
To get each posting of each pirated scene down needs a separate DMCA notice. She has her site "ripped" by a 'paying' customer and then posted in various places - It takes 24 hours to get the posts removed after the DMCA notices are sent. This can amount to 100's of notices - one for each scene posted. Instead of making porn for us to watch she is having to spend hours finding these cheating bastard's posts and getting them taken down. Often these posts point to file sharing sites where the poster actually gets paid for each download - so they are earning money on stolen media instead of the person that put all the work into it.

To say that they just leave it and don't care about the copyright is naive at best and moronic (your words OP) at worst.

According to your own logic, there is no stealing either in using whichever of the countless amount of tube pages. After all someone has legitimately paid for a membership and bought their content and sharing them in other pages using the very same method. That's not stealing, you know as you just claimed...

Also let's not forget that the very same companies are behind multiple tube pages and mainstream porn sites. You could say that they are willingly letting people to watch porn free and it's a part of their business plan and even little cam girls are admittedly posting their own clips to these pages to advertise their content.

To be honest I bought about 200 dvds when I could not for some reason down load porn from tube 8- something with mp4 flv change.

and I may still buy some of a girl if she has several scenes on same dvd and she is hot to me.

But if its not fuzzy quality and free- why not (might not be right) I will not pay if I do not have to.

Industrys change with technology, diff attitudes, diff laws and porn is a changing.

You have to decide if a lower wage and benefits are ok with you for the priviledge to do your old job.

Companies layoff people all the time and lose a valued person and get a new person less qualified and knowledgeable but at a lower wage and somehow get by.

People are thrown out of a chosen profession or job that they like due to no fault of their own.

It may start w a few layoffs and jobs tougher to get and wishing you were one of the people working (the people working hoping they do not have to be one with out a job)

You may want to do your old job even for a fraction of what your used to making and even then you are unemployed

Finally your out side looking in- and shit out of luck and unemployment checks ending.

AT HOME DEPOT they have a sophisticated security network and it is set up to stop theft from mgt, workers, public and EVEN the security guards

people should pay for porn but stealing happens and industries should prevent stealing if it gets to a degree they care about and can financially afford to do.
if they can not prevent it- it will continue to still happen.

It seems the technology exists to protect new production but companies need to invest in the means to do it rather than get by on the cheap.

Perhaps boxes could be rented out with porn - enclosed so no stealing- or pay a penalty for a broken in box- might not be as convienent.
With all the porn out there already the point may have cum where quality porn is done and cheap porn is all that's left so they can make a buck on the original release and figure there with be some theft.

I knew one person who purchased dvds- not porn as far as I know- and slipped in a blank dvd and shrinked wrapped the original package at the print shop I worked at and returned it and got his money back.
