So far today. I've done laundry, dusted and vacuumed throughout the house, cleaned out and rearranged a few drawers and put a bunch of stuff I'm giving away in boxes by the front door. :D Oh yeah and shredded a bunch of old paperwork.

Walked to the local hockey rink and helped put in the Roller Hockey tiles.

Today ...

I wrote over 500 lines of script. I hate doing this crap, I feel it serves no need. It does nothing. I'd rather write C/C++ or Java code and get some re-use.

But no one else likes to do it at so many of my clients -- especially for deployment or integration automation. Especially since I can actually deal with exception handling better than I've seen anyone else (especially in script, where most just ignore it). Years of writing anal-level autopilot and telemetry code tends to dictate such an attitude. So far, other than having to fight clients on project time-lines where they think the tasks are way too long, it has paid off though, and keeps me employed (especially by first-hand referral).

Tomorrow I have an interview with a prospective client. That won't be productive. Especially not considering all the legs in my flight itinerary. :(

Made a couple of important phone calls, and had good day at work and actually got out a little early tonight. :)
