Which player would you choose to start a franchise with: Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade, Dwight Howard, or Chris Paul

As much as I love LeBron, always always a big man. So its gotta be Dwight. But LeBron is awesome. Then again Dwight is only 23 and a beast of a man. I pick LeBron Howard.

Lebron is a big man!! Something like 6'9" 270 lbs at last count. I'm not a fan but the guy's one of a kind.
Dwight can't carry a team, he's nowhere near the level of shaq at that age and never will be

i picked james cus he is favored by the refs he has shot my free throws himself then the pistons all together if you sneeze while guarding him it is a foul so i would want him on my team for sure

Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
All the players listed are great but no one compares to LeBron James when it comes to being the complete package. He can score, rebound, defend, pass and he is a tremendous leader on and off the court. I love D-Wade and Kobe but hands-down in's gotta be LeBron.

Dwayne Wade is great, very underrated.

But, I'd choose Paul Pierce or Ray Allen, Celtics all the way

I beg to differ.Wade gets all the props he deserves and is nowhere near underrated. If anything, some can make an argument that he's a tad bit overrated with his propensity for injury.

I agree. Aside from the fact that he plays and leads beyond his years on the court, he's beyond his years in wisdom as it relates to basketball and seemingly life off the court.

Rarely has a player lived up to the hype so early but Lebron has more than lived up to it. I say this as he and his team are in the midst of destroying the team I love.

Tough call, but I voted Lebron because he seems to make his teammates better. Chris Paul would be my second choice though Kobe Bryant and Dwayne Wade are really great players as well. I would not say Dwight Howard is even the best at his position at the moment. I think Yao Ming would be a better choice to build a franchise around. While Dwight Howard is more athletic than Yao, Dwight Howard can not shoot free throws and is not a very good passer or first option offensive player which makes him more or less irrelevant at the end of close games at this point in his career.

The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
I'd pick Dwight Howard, only because he dominates at his position and outplays his opponent 9 out of 10 times that he steps on the court. Plus, if I was going to build a franchise around a player, I wouldn't want it to be a point guard or a shooting guard. Stars at those positions come and go. There are just too many kids growing up that want to be the star, so they play point guard or shooting guard. So, I'd go with Dwight Howard, if I was going to build a franchise around ONE of those players.

Personally,I wouldn't take either one over Dirk.I know he doesn't play any "D",but how many 7 footers can hit outside shots and 3's like Dirk?None.

I would pick Dwayne Wade and it's not even close. LeBrian Prince James is a media/Nike construction. He has a very RAW game. He is not an "artist" on the court like Kobe is, like MJ was and like DWade will be. An artist operates on a higher level, doing things that simple-minded, simple skilled players like LeBrian will never do.

Yes, the stats suggest that LeBrian is a great player. But he is the First, Second, Third Option every night for the Cavs. He hoists up so many bricks that it's a matter of time before all of a sudden he has accumulated a Triple Double just from the sheer VOLUME of shots. LeBrian already believes he's superior to his "supporting cast." How insulting it is for those players to be patronized like that by a 23 year old who has done nothing in the league except make commercials and sell shoes?

DWade is a far more accurate shooter ESPECIALLY in crunch time where LeBrian turns into a shrinking turtle. If I had 1 shot to win a game--LeBrian would be the last person on this list I'd want to take it.

1 Title is not enough for LeBrian either. He needs to win 6 or 7 before I come around to saying that he "lived up" to all the hype. I dont think he'll even win it this year. I think the Lakers are going to win the title this year. The more pressure that mounts, the more that LeBrian puts the spotlight on himself this playoff season, the worse he'll play...

Who the hell is LeBrian?

The only reason that I could accept anyone not wanting to take LeBron over anyone else,is that they believe that his size will be his ultimate downfall later in his career.I can see at the size that he's at and with his athleticism, that it would take a toll on his body later in his career.
