Olive Garden: American flag...

i'm as patriotic as the next guy, but come on....you can't do whatever you want just because you're claiming it's patriotic. What if they wanted to play the star-spangled banner at the beginning of their dinner and weren't allowed? Sounds great, but what about everyone else in the place that just wants to eat a quiet dinner?

Complaining about this demeans reall instances where someone isn't allowed to fly the flag.

this!

Couldn't the Kwanis meet at the club/lodge first for the organization's official business (Pledge of Allegiance, awards ceremony, etc.) and then go to the Olive Garden for dinner?
Also was this the only "nice" restaurant in their area?

They wanted to display the US flag and their Kiwanis banner. Now, if I am picturing this the way I'm guessing they wanted it done, it would have been a pretty large display....something like this...

I can see where something like this would be a PIA for servers, and would be distracting to other diners.
