Old people can be bastards too

Super old video and still a classic. I don't understand why he would flip out like that. I know that I wouldn't.

What friggin language is on that page? It looks like Gaelic, with some Icelandic elements, yet they use the Kr. for dollar payments. I know its not Danish, Swedish or Norwegian. But the 'Vælkomin' looks strangely like a Scandinavian Welcome (similar to German Willkommen). Is it written in a Scandinavian dialect? Or some Gaelic/Icelandic mix?

I know its off topic, but Im kinda curious.

It is Faeroese: the language is closely relative to Icelandic, but its morphology is a little bit simpler. On the other hand, the Faeroese orthography and pronunciation are even more complicated than the Icelandic ones. Concerning the classification, it is one of the Scandinavian group of Germanic languages:
Scandinavian languages:
a. Eastern:
- Swedish
- Danish
- Norwegian (Bokmaal)
b. Western:
- Icelandic
- Faeroese
- Norwegian (Nynorsk)
Sorry for being off-topic, only in order to give a short explanation.

Yes, the language is Faroese.

I'm surprized that some of you knew, or even suspectet the language to be Faroese.

Very few people know of the Faroe Islands, mostly because it's such a smal country.
