yep and now comes the part when they choke in the second round :D

At least they don't choke in the first round like the Canucks (we will just have to wait till Mon to see)

I think Canucks will win. However I though they would have win it in 5 games because I thought that Turco would choke like he did in the last playoffs. He is now phenomenal in those playoff.

No matter who the Canucks have on there roster they always choke in the playoffs. 1994 VS. the Rangers was a total fluke, that will never happen again, no matter what they do to the team

Now comes the part we've all been waiting for...the hockey gods will systematically turn their wrath on Canadian teams, since the chosen team (i.e. Montreal) didn't make the playoffs.

I hope not. I'm going to pull for the Sens to win it seeing as how it looks like my original pick Calgary is done tonight. I don't want to see any of the teams from the US markets win it.

You really think the Sens can beat a Devils team with Brodeur in top form?

Sure do. Marty wasn't really in top form against Tampa. He did let in a few soft goals in the series. I think the way Ottawa handled their business against Pittsburgh and the extra rest they've gotten should give them enough confidence to beat New Jersey. It's a different Sens team then from a few years ago. From top to bottom it's an awfully dangerous lineup.

yeah you're so good , now the devils can showcase their boring trap hockey to the sens fans .

No offense, you sound like a sore loser, if TB is so much better they would have won. Boring or not, the Dev's system works and wins them cups, i'm not a big fan of their style either but like it or hate it, it is here to stay.

:1orglaugh Devils didn't look all that boring to me. You didn't honestly believe that NJ was going to lose that series did ya?

If the lightning had won game 4 , of course they could have won it ! Who do you think the devils are ? A magical team that can't lose ? They have a chance to win only because of brodeur . They really aren't that good of a team . And if you really think their play isn't boring to watch , then I guess you liked it when the games ended with 1-0 scores back before the lock-out .

No I don't think they're a magical team that can't lose. I've seen them lose plenty of times but it's Marty and the Devils in April. You don't bet against them in a 7 game series. I told you for the last week or so that NJ was going to win that series. Ya didn't believe me. For the record I loved the lower scoring games from pre-lockout. They were tight checking games with good defense, tons of 5 on 5 play, and lots of hard hitting. I'd much rather tune in to watch one of those games instead of this watered down trackmeet where the penalties for the tiniest infraction never seem to end. The Devils may be boring at times but what they do is effective. You of all people should have no issue with the pre-lockout days. Tampa Bay somehow managed to win a cup before the work stoppage. Want to have another lockout so they can put rules in place that stop certain teams from being "boring" ?

Well said my friend, some people are just sore losers :1orglaugh

The Canucks move on to the next round. I'd love to see 2 canadian teams go at it in the finals. That'd probably drive Bettman insane.

Yeah you must know what you're talking about , being a yankees fan you've seen them lose a lot in the playoffs over the last few years :1orglaugh . By the way , it has nothing to do with being a sore loser. I knew all along that the Lightning lacked something to go all the way . It's only about the fact that the Devils don't play an entertaining style of hockey because they don't focus on doing what is the primary objective in hockey : score goals . And also , when the Lightning won the cup , they won it because of skill , not because of their system . The rules before the lock-out had nothing to do with it . The big difference was the absence of a salary cap .

The primary objective in hockey is winning. I'll you what I'd trade all the Flyers entertainment over the last 12 years for the 3 "boring" cups the Devils have. If the Devils decided to play a more entertaining style Tampa would still have lost. You're not a D-Rays fan are ya? Cause it's a little silly to try and rag on NY when the D-Rays can't even make the playoffs.

I don't like baseball . And that was just a joke , the little :1orglaugh face is supposed to be self explainatory . Anyway , let's close this argument by saying that we definitely don't aggree on much regarding sports in general and that's the way it is . ;)

It's all good TB, I didn't take it with any offense, and i didn't mean to offend you either, it's just how you were coming across, and it pisses me off that the Yanks keep choking in the playoffs, it's like since they mega choked to Boston :throwup:they just can't get past the first freaking round....AAAAAAARRRGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I think the part that must frustrate the yankees fan the most is probably the fact that they have such a big payroll and they should win every year or at least go far in the playoffs . With all the talent they have on the roster they have to win a championship soon :D
