Stick a fork in the Twins they're finished now that they're down 2-0 to the Yankees. Since 2002, the Twins have been to the playoffs six times and have advanced to the LCS only once in 2002. I thought the Twins would finally get over the hump and maybe win a series this year but it doesn't look that will happen now that they're heading to New York. The Twins simply choke in the postseason.

It's not a fail to stay true to a team. Do you really expect the Twins to get over a hump even though the Yankees aren't solid? Morneau being out injures us. Especially when the games are this close and younger guys are looking weak.
Next thread will be YES!!! PHILLIES WIN THE WORLD SERIES. THAT'S MY FAVORITE TEAM. Everyone is a hypocrit you hate bandwagon guys and you hate people who stay true to their team. I'd rather stay true then jump ship when seas get rough. You never know you may survive the storm, but if you give up then just jump in and die without a fight.

The Twins aren't amazing this year either. I mean look at how weak the central is. We were basically given it. Kanses and Cleveland never seem to compete. If they do it falls apart. Detroit and White Sox have older teams and need to rebuild some areas like the Twins, but the Twins have a decent team.
Awesome stats offensively, but average starting pitchers. The bullpen is average to above average at best.
People want me to break, but seriously if we lose the next 100 home games in a row in the playoffs I could care less. I'll be through and when we get our next WS. I'll be the biggest dick in the world to all the haters. HATERS GONNA HATE.

I'm a packer fan, so I feel betrayed a little.
I would submit that statements have been made this season that are a tad beyond "staying true". Dude, I'm all for rooting for your team, but there's been an obnoxious amount of "EVERYONE ELSE SUCKS!! TWINS WILL WIN IT ALL, FUCK EVERYBODY ELSE" type of sentiment this season. With it, comes the type of responses that are being doled out in this thread. Hell, I hope the Twins beat the living shit out of the Yankees, but I don't have to be obnoxious about it.
Honest to God, where the fuck are you getting this from? The Twins weren't above decent? They were 4th in the league in OPS and 3rd in wOBA. Their rotation was 3rd in FIP and 1st in xFIP, and their bullpen was 3rd and 4th respectively in those same categories. As I've mentioned before, the offense got a bit lucky late in the season, but even with that in mind, they are at worst a good team. Plain and simple, the Twins pitching staff was better this year than the Yankees. Their pitching staff was better than their offense, hands down.
