Really? I bet the person you will vote for will have stuck their foot in their mouth multiple times! :elaugh:

No.

Once again I am not a Republican nor a Democrat.

You do know there are others people to vote for and there are other parties? :surprise:

I do not like the puppet on either the left nor the right. I definitely do not like the guy in the middle controlling them both.

Once again I am not a Republican nor a Democrat.

Interesting, because virtually every political post you make is about criticizing this Democratic President. Not republicans.

How many states are in the U.S. again ... oh, wait I'm waiting for the teleprompter to catch up ...

Well the problem with that is that you know he misspoke, everyone knows he misspoke, so to continue making a big deal out of it as if it's anything other than a misstatement just shows yourself to be petty and childish.

Julius, you didn't have to open up a special thread over this matter, it has a home here!

0bama was a disaster from the day he named his first selection of tax evading cabinet appointments, Hilda Solis, Tiny Tommy Daschle and Turbo Tax Timothy, among others, nice job of vetting, '0'.

Nah, he just invaded a country based on the word of some shadowy...]
... united nations/arab league types? ... Wait! we are talking about 0bama's approval to preemptively ****** Libya, correct?
At least 'w' had received approval from both houses of Congress prior to invading Iraq unlike obama who, for his role in Libya, only received approval from two non democratic entities (the elite and exclusively appointed membership of the u.n. and the arab league).
I kind of wish that my boy W. had made fifty mistakes like this and not made the one BIG one in Iraq.
What were the mainstream democrats saying about Saddam after 9/11, would you like some quotes?
C'mon, Rey, the democrats were every bit as much ''***'' - ho about ferreting Saddam and his sons out of Iraq as 'w' was.
Admittedly, this is a mistake.
I wonder sometimes with this øbama guy. This 'mistake' would have been amongst top news stories had a republican ****** as much.
One thing is for sure, when 0bama is done with his hope & change program in Washington, the Office of the PotUS will be much less prestigious than it once was., yep, we're way down on the totem pole now, how much lower can it get before the d's and the r's ruin u.s. for good! Wouldn't have been a news story(beyond a day or so) because Obama can admit when he makes a fucking mistake and can even make a self deprecating joke about himself when he does so.

Unlike Bachmann who still insists that John Quincy Adams, who was 9 friggin years old, was part of the Declaration of Indepence, Writer/Signer of the Constitution and participated in the Revolutionary War.

Her 'mistake'(ignorance) doesn't make the news as much as her idiotic/ stubborn refusal to admit her ignorance. Palin(Paul Revere) and othe conservatives as well have this propensity to rewrite history.

It says as much about their SUPPORTERS as it does themselves when they inexplicably stick to their mistakes as facts against all evidence.

That said the statement, 'Bush never made a mistake' on the order of this is pretty awe inspiring for it's profound ridiculousness.

Can't tell you much about which Dems or Repubs voted to invade Iraq. I can just tell you that was when Rey C. officially regretted his vote for George W. Bush. While the neocons and Zionists (that should include enough Dems for your liking) wanted to invade every country from Iraq to North Korea, ol' Rey C. has been saying, "don't fuck with nobody that ain't (directly) fuckin' with you." Just like my dear old *****. And just like my ***, I'll stay on my land until you step foot on my land. That's why I believe that an AK with a drum mag is actually man's best friend. Course, the dog will bark to tell me that you're on your way. So I guess he's a pal too. But Iraq and Libya would have nothing to fear from President Rey C... unless they fucked up and crossed that fence line. And remember my (odd) fascination with Rome, Face. If we have to fight, I'm going to take your **** after I shoot you. I fully believe in ad victorem spolias (to the victor go the spoils). I am and have been for many, many years opposed to nation building - one of the main reasons I voted for Bush to begin with. But he lied! So once a person is shown to be a (true) nation builder, he can count me out. And if Obama doesn't get those troops home, let Libya determine its own fate and start focusing on domestic issues FULLY, he may lose my support before 2012 too. If the GOP field wasn't full of kooks, religious wingnuts and people who I wouldn't let mow my lawn, somebody over there might have gotten a donation from me by now.

And no, I don't think it would have been all that big a deal if a Repub had flubbed this. I can't recall that John McCain EVER got the Shiites and Sunnis straight while speaking. But after the first dozen or so times, people just assumed that John was old and easily mixed up, so they let it go. John once even admitted that he had a hard time keeping them straight - something Palin and Bachmann should admit (about 99% of the things they talk about).

You and I both know what's going on here, Facetious. Two of the most prominent GOP candidates don't know east from west or day from night. And American history seems to just be something that they make up as they go. So now some people want to take even ***** flubs by Obama, or anybody else, and blow them out of proportion. Sarah P@lin didn't know the duties of the VP when she was on the ticket! To me, that was a bigger concern than her not knowing what Paul Revere's mission was all about. And Michele Bachmann not knowing what the Fed does (or doesn't do), or how the time value of money is calculated, bothers me A LOT more than her not knowing where John Wayne was born.

I make jokes about the Idiot MILF Twins as much (or more ;)) than anybody. But even I'll say that some of the Palin/Bachmann flubs matter, and some are just joke fodder. Same here. Jokes are appropriate, but it's a storm in a teacup... and nothing more.

Michelle Bachman is a bobble-head who doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning a primary outside Iowa. Sarah Palin is unelectable. Give me Herman Cain or Chris Christie. These guys know their ****.

The war in Iraq was mishandled, but I still believe it was necessary -- the Iraqis continually ******** the U.N. cease-fire conditions for the end of the First Gulf War. In short, the U.N. refused to enforce it's own penalties (18 Security Council resolutions, I believe, over 12 years), so we went in and did it for them -- WMD's not withstanding. The funny thing is (well, not really "funny") is that we needed to take out Saddam Hussein long before GW Bush ever came into office, but Clinton wouldn't have been able to muster the political firepower to get such an effort off the ground. It was only after 9/11 that someone could make the argument that U.S. citizens were not safe in their own country from foreign ****** -- that preemptive ****** was the best way to safeguard national security. That alone was enough to justify the Iraq invasion. Fuck the WMDs argument. That was a HUGE mistake -- so Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld can go fuck themselves sideways for that. Bush was WRONG about WMDs, but he didn't lie. The CIA, and the British and Israeli foreign intellgence services all came to the same conclusion about Iraq's WMDS, and we acted on that intelligence. Obama said his stimulus package would rescue the economy and keep unemployment below 8% and create millions of jobs. It didn't. Did he lie or was he wrong?

I disagree with you when you say that we should wait for people to fuck with us before we respond. Imagine that approach in the schoolyard. The one who throws the first punch wins 99% percent of the time.

As to whether he was wrong or a liar on the question of WMD's, he apparently ignored evidence to the contrary and was willing to accept scant evidence supporting the WMD theory. In my field, that will buy you a quick exit from a company. But I also know that when the guy at the top wants something to be true, part of a capo's job is to make it true. From all that has come out since the Iraqi invasion, that appears to be exactly what happened. Hussein was no threat to the U.S. or its direct interests. And because we got mired down in Iraq, we now have that hot mess in Afghanistan.

I was about 6'3" by the time I turned 16. And since I played sports, I was a "big" 6'3". But with my ****** being a teacher, I wasn't allowed to fight at school without extreme provocation. I was a fairly good *** so I can't recall getting in THAT many scrapes to begin with. But I never went home with a busted lip or a black eye either. *** was a teacher, but *** could have been a boxer in his day. All kinds of good lessons from ***. :) So yeah, for me to fight, a *** would have to actually come at me. And pops taught me this lovely right jab, left cross, right upper cut combo that is still with me to this day. Punch a *** in the throat with that good upward motion ("Roll your shoulder, ***! Roll your shoulder!") and he's not going anywhere but down. Garonteed! And if you leave one *** laying in a puddle of ***** and his own ****, not that many other **** are going to go out of their way to fuck with you - or at least that was my experience. Stories like that will follow you til the day you graduate. But the people who had a habit of starting fights when I was a *** are probably in jail or dead now. Me, the "good ***", who the teachers knew didn't start fights... I never spent even the first day in detention when I was in school. What did *** say? "If you fight, always be in the right!"

The U.S. is the biggest *** on the block. The U.S. has (or should have) a mean combination that it could throw at any nation on earth. We're not fighting Russia or China here. We're scrapping with **** ant countries with two bit dictators. In addition to the dead soldiers and civilians, we've also spent about a trillion dollars rebuilding what we've blown up there. Plus, billions are now missing and I've read about one Iraqi bridge that's been rebuilt eight times!!! While the U.S. taxpayers are on the hook for that trillion, Iraqi reserves stood at an $80 billion SURPLUS (the last time I looked it up). That is ridiculous! But that's what you get with mismanaged nation building exercises.

Here's my idea: the cost of a U.S. soldier is about $100K per year. For any country that's too much of a pussy to have an adequate military ***** (Japan, etc.), I'd help them out. The price for each soldier on their soil would be $150K. I'd be flexible though. I'd accept payment in oil, gold... or nubile virgins. What happens if ya don't pay? That's really not a question that a country in need of help would want to ask. :nono: And for any country that actually is threatening the U.S., there will be an immediate ass kicking and a tribute ("reparations", by modern speak) to be taken from their treasury or natural resources. Course, like I said, some nubile virgins would work too.

Obama can't place a sentence together without his teleprompter. His days are numbered, even his liberal base is disillusioned.

This again? How many birthdays does this old song have now? I won't post the video of Obama and the Republicans at the luncheon a few months back. He didn't have a teleprompter and there was no script. But he fielded questions and they had a good discussion. I watched it on a real news channel (Bloomberg). Maybe Fox News didn't have it on. They were probably showing vidclips of Gretchen adjusting her bra or finding the right pose to show off her legs during a station break. I also won't mention Ronnie Reagan's constant use of the teleprompter... along with every other President in modern times. No offense to you, but the teleprompter thing became rather lame about a year ago. It would be more accurate to point out that Obama has unusually big ears. It doesn't mean anything, but at least that would be a truthful criticism.

And yes, Obama's days are numbered. Unless the GOP can find a candidate that can walk and chew gum at the same time, Obama must be out of office by January 2017.

I agree with some of what you say, but we are in fact trying to install/support democratic regimes in Iraq and Afghanistan, for better or worse. So I don't think Bush was lying about nation-building. If we did nothing, another military dictator would've filled the void. As I said earlier, WMDs should not even have been in the discussion when we were considering invading Iraq. Hussein repeatedly ******** the UN cease-fire. In response, we bombed their SAM sites military installations, we issued sanctions, tried to get weapons inspectors in there ... all these measures failed. Ultimately, we HAD to enforce the conditions that the Iraqis agreed to in 1991 or we look weak. The UN refused to do it (and many UN officials were actually bribed with money from Iraq's UN "Oil for Food" program). It's a lesson we learned when Hitler and the Nazis began ********* the admittedly unfair Treaty of Versailles in the 1930s and the League of Nations did nothing to stop them. Without enforcement, treaties/cease-fires/armistices aren't worth the paper they're printed on. Hussein had to go. He launched two wars of conquest in a decade's time -- first Iran, then Kuwait. By seizing Kuwait, he posed a direct threat to our ally and oil supplier Saudi Arabia. If we were to stand by and do nothing, what would stop him from grabbing Saudi Arabia in the future? We NEEDED to take him out regardless if he had WMDs or not.

I agree with some of what you say, but we are in fact trying to install/support democratic regimes in Iraq and Afghanistan, for better or worse. So I don't think Bush was lying about nation-building.

During the 2000 campaign, he said he did not believe in nation building. But by 2002, he clearly showed that he did. IMO, he lied. If I claim to be a vegetarian, and then you catch me sinking my teeth into a juicy buffalo roast, you can (and should) call me a liar.

If we did nothing, another military dictator would've filled the void.

Possibly. But there are a LOT of military dictatorships around the world. It is not our job to decide the governmental structure of every other country on earth.

As I said earlier, WMDs should not even have been in the discussion when we were considering invading Iraq.

Yeah, but that (WMD's) was the secret sauce that the neocons used to convince the American people to support this folly. They had to craft an immediate (make believe) threat that the sheeple would buy into. I remember so, so well hearing people say, "if we don't fight 'em over there, we'll have to fight 'em over here." To which my response was ALWAYS, "Bullshit!" Without the lies and hyperbole, Bush and the neocons could not have gotten enough political support to invade Iraq. We should have been focused on Afghanistan. But instead, we focused on Iraq. So the *** who did punch us, we let him slither off. And the one who was just a loud mouth, we beat the crap out of him, burned down his house... and then paid (several times) to rebuild his house. Made no sense at all to me. And considering the dire financial straits in which the U.S. now finds itself, it makes me very angry.

Without enforcement, treaties/cease-fires/armistices aren't worth the paper they're printed on. Hussein had to go.

Does this mean we should also launch a war against Israel? Don't they hold the world record for ********* U.N. resolutions? ;)

He launched two wars of conquest in a decade's time -- first Iran, then Kuwait.

And it was the Reagan Administration which propped up Hussein and supplied him with all sorts of military goodies during the Iran/Iraq War.

By seizing Kuwait, he posed a direct threat to our ally and oil supplier Saudi Arabia. If we were to stand by and do nothing, what would stop him from grabbing Saudi Arabia in the future? We NEEDED to take him out regardless if he had WMDs or not.

I always believed that we should have gone to Baghdad in the First Gulf War and dealt with him. But by the time W. Bush got in, Hussein's military capability had been severely diminished. I'm sorry, but I've just never seen any real evidence that Saddam Hussein was a direct threat to the U.S., or even its allies. He was just the fat *** who talked a lot of ****, but didn't have the muscle to do anything by then.

And it really pissed me off when I'd read accounts of all the money we were wasting to blow up and then rebuild Iraq, and I'd drive to a car plant in Detroit and that place looked like a bombed out WWII city. I believe in taking care of our own first.

I was not blessed with great physical gifts. I am short with a thin build and somewhat feminine way of behaving. I was a target of bullies throughout middle and high school -- and I learned very quickly that I needed to hit first or I would never get in a punch at all. :(

I understand what you're saying here. But the U.S. is blessed with "great physical gifts". The U.S. is so big that we could take a punch from just about anyone else and not get knocked out... barely bruised - especially one of these two fart countries, where camels are better educated than the people. In my way of thinking, the U.S. is the *** that even I would have given my milk money to... whether he asked for it or not. But when it comes to foreign aid, preemptive wars and U.S. taxpayers being on the hook for the quality of life of people who don't live within U.S. borders, I have a real problem with that. I'm not an isolationist. But I don't see that the U.S. should be the world's policeman either. And right now, we are. We are doing the exact same things that the Soviets did to seal their sad fate... and yet, we don't seem to realize it. In one generation, we've gone from being the greatest creditor nation to being the greatest debtor nation... and it's just going to get worse.

How many states are in the U.S. again ... oh, wait I'm waiting for the teleprompter to catch up ...

If I make fun of Obama, I guess that means I'm a ...

All I can say is I am NOT a racist. My best friend and college roommate is black -- he's a liberal, so go figure how our friendship has endured this long. :) I am a member of a tea party and not one person there has shown any evidence of racism. If they were racist, I would spit in their faces and walk out. Our meetings are about taxes, the economy, big government and the debt crisis. I've dragged my friend to a couple of these meetings and he was surprised by how friendly and down-to-earth the group was.

But the pure fact is that ***********, some far-left TV personalities and news columnists insinuate, or outright accuse, people like me of being racist because we oppose Obama's policies. That racist stuff has died down a bit over the past year, but you can be sure it will ramp up when we get into the 2012 election season. Being accused of racism is sad, hurtful and divisive and fills causes deep resentment. People who label others as racist to try to silence them just ensures this country stays divided.

I like when they get all defensive about it, like they're the least racist person on planet earth.

It was a mistake. I don't believe for a minute Obama didn't care, is stupid, or it was intentional.
It was unfortunate, but it was a forgivable miss.

Focusing on this is silly and mean spirited.

Pat. Tillman. Pat Tillman. The Pat Tillman Story. Ringing any bells, Will E?
