Which would you prefer?
Wow.
Neal Boortz's idea.
the simple fact of the matter is, the regular run of the mill flu kills more people than the swine flu has/will.
and for god's sake, please tell me you don't believe that "death panel" shit.
Swine Flu, better to be die with good healthcare than die with poor healthcare.
Ummm, last time I checked, he was a hardcore Libertarian-Capitalist and took and still takes many issues with the Republicans as equally as the Democrats. Obama is now in, so he goes after Obama. He did the same of W. as well.Sadly, this is the most intelligent Republican argument put forth in recent times....
Also remember that Boortz is also play games sometimes, and purposely says things to get people's goat. His comments post-Katrina were explicitly designed to piss people off, while still being true. He doesn't candy coat anything and if there is a more offensive way to make a statement that is actually true in a fiscal or freedom sense, he'll do it explicitly so it pisses people off.
I'd rather have swine flu that give our government any more power or money.
A heathy person will probably not die from swine flu.
You have good health care or you have a good insurance plan? Define "good" health care. Define a "good" insurance plan. Are you self-employed? What kinds of private policies can self-employed people currently get? If it's an employer sponsored plan, can you take your coverage with you when you switch jobs or become self-employed? What's your lifetime cap? Do you have a lifetime cap? What happens when you exhaust that cap?
Absolutely no offense meant toward you, Ozmanks. But I listened to a guy wailing about "Obamacare" the other day when I was having my car worked on. So those are the questions I (politely) asked him. He didn't know anymore about the plan that he had now (outside of his co-pay) than a man on the moon. He didn't know if he had a lifetime cap. If he did, he didn't know how much it was. I asked him what would happen to his wife and kids if he got really sick and exhausted his private, employer coverage. He didn't know.
The way it so often seems, people are getting wrapped up in the rhetoric and rumors that are flying around. They usually don't know what's in THE plan, because there is no THE plan currently. There's something like 5 proposals flying around. And it is confusing. No doubt about that. But people are getting so emotional, and lacking actual knowledge, they just spout stuff out that seldom makes any sense.
Without looking at your policy, who here can tell me what their lifetime cap is on their employer sponsored plan? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller???
