The reason for this is that business owners are too worried about this President's radical ideas for wealth redistribution

"radical" - There's that ubiquitous label again

What exactly are his radical ideas for wealth distribution - a return to Clinton era tax rates? .......which were substantially lower than the tax rates during 6 of Reagan's 8 years.

During Reagan's eight years as president the total tax burden (includes all income earners not just the highest bracket) ranged from 29.2 percent to 31.1 percent. At present it stands at 26.9

He gets a "2" from me. He started out with a trillion dollar deficit and thought the best way to solve that problem was to spend another trillion. I admit it was a complicated situation, and I don't think the Republicans' idea of lowering the tax rate would help enough. Still, I do think it would have been better than spending like there is no tomorrow.

The reason for this is that business owners are too worried about this President's radical ideas for wealth redistribution and the possibility of inflation rates that could be brought upon by his having spent like a drunken sailor.

Of course you are aware of the fact that over one third of the spending in the stimulus bill were tax cuts. Therefore, if a tax cut is spending then the republicans are the all time champions of spending.

Utter failure!

So much for a transparent administration and all the hopey, changey diarrhea that flowed out this imbeciles mouth.

His Transparency Czar lasted a little over a year... before the position was deep six'd.

Only an idiot would call Obama an "imbecile". Go running to your intelligence guru, George Dubya, motherfucker.

Calling him such is just a sign someone is a right wing wingnut.

If Obama is a one as many have voted and an utter failure, GWB was a -10;),and the republicans still suck as of now btw.

Rightwing nutsuckers are going to naysay everything anyway. It's pretty fucking pathetic that they're so partisan that they claim he's not a citizen. Where's the line for these jizz swizzlers?

I hear lots of left-leaning people talk about how "dumb" Bush was and how "bad" things were under him... but honestly, look at your own life. Were things better, worse or the same? Mine were the same :dunno:

I wish I could say that under Bush I did about the same as before.Just so you know both Bush presidencys (I don't consider the father to have been nearly as bad as the son btw) coincidently maybe but nevertheless meant drastic economic changes for me for the worse.Soon after the election of both long terms positions I had held running satellite warehouses ended with the companys closing the locations ,both companies went entirely out of buisness soon after that after being around for over 50 years each. After the first Bush it was not until the Clinton years that I got a good job again which was the one that closed in 2001 after GWB was elected.I was actually packing the place up in Sept 2001 when 9/11 happened. The 8 years GWB was in office were awful for me personally.Won't say the last couple have been great but I have been doing better.

So the bottom line for me and again I don't assign all or even most of the blame to who was president is that for me both Bush's were bad times ,Clinton was very good, and Obama so far it has been just marginally better. But the mess GWB left is also worse then Clinton inherited.

And while I don't think the first Bush was dumb or naive I do think its very appropriate to say the son was both those things in spades and that is the way he will go down in history.Intellectually there is no comparison to almost any other president from eithier party in my lifetime,GWB makes them all look like Einsteins

I can't identify anything about Obama that makes me proud. . .
ditto for the previous president.

Sorry for being such a party pooper.

His Transparency Czar lasted a little over a year... before the position was deep six'd.

How many economic advisors has Obama cycled through his office here at the midterm? :D

^^^ HM, to deny the vitriol spewed at Bush is just to deny reality. When BHO did the same things, nothing from the people or the media. That's my point. And I happen to agree about Iraq, but once you are in a war, you gotta be in it to WIN.
Sorry, you just have the facts wrong on this. The ENTIRE world sans the most extreme anti-warriors was with GWB after 9/11 and his decision to invade Afghanistan.

That changed the moment he started trumping up the case to invade Iraq. EVEN THEN the majority of Demo politicians jumped on that wagon with him out of fear for the politics on it. EVEN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIAS were given edicts not to pursue stories critical of Bush's build up to the Iraq war. So C/S I'm not sure where you were hiding then but you just don't have the facts accurate on this.

Obama has lost, disappointed or disillusioned many of his followers who inexplicably thought he was going to pull out of Afghanistan when spent his entire campaign saying the opposite.
The bottom line is that claiming the almost $800 billion worth of wasted taxpayer money in the "stimulus" bill saved us from a "worse" recession is spurious at best, and ah hoc since it cannot be confirmed nor dis-proven. But the massive 14 trillion dollar debt that has us printing money like a third world country is objectively hurting all Americans. IMHO, the best thing the government can do is keep things fair in the market and keep thier hands off the rest... they hurt the economy more than they help it (see housing crisis, created by Federal mandates to get people in houses).
How do you know the medication worked a doctor gave you when it's possible under many circumstances for your own immune system to step up and do the healing??

All I know is during the depression unemployment hovered between 20 and 25 pct. It is essentially November, 2010 now 1 yr. and 9 mos. after Obama took office and unemployment is at about 9 and a half percent. 1 year and 9 mos. after Reagan took office it was 10.8 pct. and didn't fall below 10 pct. until 2.5 years after he was inaugurated.

What do you make of those analogous cases? What I make of it is history has shown us it could have been worse under the circumstances.

Further, since taxes are at some of the lowest rates in our country's history now..What exactly should have been done in your opinion? Keep in mind..more than a 3rd of the stimulus was MORE tax cuts and incentives on top of that.

So facing the worst economic circumstances since the depression...what would economic advisor "CunningStunts" have recommended?
It all comes down to these questions: Do you trust these politicians? Do you believe that massive, expensive programs run from DC help the nation? Do you believe it's ok to FORCE people who don't agree with this philosophy to pay for those who do? Do you believe the majority has the right to force their agenda on individuals who disagree?
Was that the basis for why GWB didn't raise a cent to pay for the wars...some people didn't support the policy so it's not okay to FORCE them to pay for that philosophical decision?

PS...sorry if you have a problem with the quotes...I don't use up characters to try and pinpoint who and what I'm addressing. I use the handy feature FOs provides that allows me to show who and what I'm addressing.

That's a pathetic statement.

If you're talking about him personally you fail to comprehend that he represents a monumental leap away from attitudes and prejudices that were prevalent less than half a century ago.

If you're talking about his politics you paint yourself into a precarious box where you are by proxy talking trash about things You Might not normally just to be a dick.

Adding Georgie Porgie into your disdain only makes you look like an even more pathetic libertarian dick. Hey, at least the "conservatives" are willing to kiss their prom date Bush.

So we can't agree that Al Aquaeda (for example) by the group are evil, murdering bastards (well, maybe the bastard part is technically debatable)?:crying:

Maybe you'll respect me in the morning if not.:o

Listen, I am fair minded 98 pct of the time. I give people their chances...the problem is in this case...they are doing and saying the same shit...(and worse in some cases) that they were doing and saying of Clinton prior to the circus they concocted against him.

Why would a reasonable person believe they have anything more than the same or more in store for Obama if they return to power?? I suppose crossing your fingers and hoping for the best might work.

I say you do so at your own peril IMO (at least peril of your faith in some of these clowns to behave responsibly with power).

I think Jon Stewart did a good job on the Mall.

I've been accused of that on a dozen other forums. It's funnier when it's true.
