So why have any law or standard whatsoever??? I don't care about 'pretty soon' theories, etc...that's just a stalling tactic for maintaining status quo.

Why even have a background check to determine anything about anyone if the excuse is they can simply buy something on the black market?

Who's said anything about outlawing guns??? Sensible checks into who's trying to buy a firearm has no bearing on outlawing them...even if you're being sarcastic. And guns don't accidentally **** anything...There are accidents involving firearms but that's because they are often times in the wrong hands. That's what this is about. Doing what's sensible in an effort to keep obviously deranged individuals from simply buying a firearm legally.
