Happy almost Saturday Dazza! Happy Friday Nikki and the rest of ya! Only about 2 weeks until Easter!

Anyway, a lil after 1 AM here! Any guesses as to what exciting way I am spending my late night hours (following a LONG & HECTIC day no less)? If you guessed doing laundry for about the past 3 hours...you win!!! (yes, even I am a lil domesticated...I mean, unfortunately they will not wash themselves)! Ha ha ha! Like I said "exciting" huh!?!?!

l know what you mean about doing laundry, yes, someone has to do it.

l do mine in daylight hours though, and then forget to bring it in from drying on the line....at least it's nice and fresh when l remember to collect it :)

Well guys, it looks like we are hours away from a total federal government shutdown! And why? Women's health rights (essentially a GOP attachment related to abortion)! In typical fashion, playing politics instead of looking out for our best interests! Of course that will mean no tax refunds, military personnel will not be paid, national parks will be closed, among other things! Of course the refunds and military pay will come through eventually, but not until the impasse is resolved! We will still have mail service though (only pseudo-government entity anymore)....YAY! Yes, some people do still get snail mail! Ha ha ha!

What we need is more right minded people like Nikki Nova in Washington! Wait, Nikki is too smart & honest for Congress! Besides, let's face it....Congress is BENEATH her anyway! Ha ha ha!

Hope everyone is having a great day & that y'all have a wonderful weekend! Supposed to be up near 90 and humid here this weekend...UGH!!! Hope it's a sight better in your necks of the woods!

Just popping in again very briefly to point out that Nikki has once again been nominated for OCSM of the Week (she was actually nominated by 3 different people!), and the voting has begun (it lasts over the weekend)!

Really? I heard Obama make these threats a few days ago but haven't seen the news since because I have been insanely busy. I just thought it was an idle threat. It seemed too insane 4 him to actually go through with. I mean what does that even mean? The Federal government isn't just Congress, the Senate, The FBI, the CIA etc. It's also the court system! It's the military. Hellooooo??? Does this mean all of the troops are coming home? Um...yeah. Didn't think so. I am one of the people that voted for Obama. I bought into his campaign and quite frankly he seemed better than any of his oponents except for maybe Hillary before it got down to him being the actual election. I am extremely displeased with him as a president. It seems to me that there really is something to be said for experience. You might have the greatest intentions but if you don't know how to properly make them happen and navigate given the circumstances n the rescources then..um..well...shit can get worse or just simply not get better. Don't get me started because my list of reasons for saying this is uber long and this would become a very heated political battle and I KNOW this is the not the forum for THAT. hahaha

Yeah Nikki, briefly, the shutdown will take effect at midnight (EDT) tonight! No experience as a Chief Executive! Historically, Senators rarely make good Presidents. But yeah, military will serve without getting paid (as will all essential personnel...though they will get paid eventually) non-essential workers will stay home (might not get paid ever for those days), the federal courts will be shut down, as well as most government buildings. It doesn't look good! Plus the projected costs of the shut down is in the billions! OF COURSE, the way the law is, members of Congress will be like the only ones who will "conveniently" continue to get paid on time during the impasse!

Though I voted for Hillary in the primary...I did vote for Obama in the gen. Elect.! Disappointed is a fair word to describe me too! There seems to be plenty of blame to go around this time...but still! Just like you...don't get me started on politics! Ha ha ha! And, like you so wisely stated...this isn't the forum for it! Ha ha ha!

At the end of the day their vocation is that of politician.

"Politics" from the Greek Poly = "many, much" and Tic which is a blood sucking insect.

Larss, I'd say, in the case of the United States, that since Lyndon B. Johnson, the answer would be no. In the modern 24-7 news cycle, combined with electronic "media," the chances go down even further. That being said, the types of people (no real executive experience) who are attracted to the job these days also has some bearing on it too. I mean there are some Presidents who served 70-200+ years ago who are still revered to this day. The passing of time, and "revisionist history," is often every politician's friend! But yeah, generally speaking, every politician since the beginning of time has had his/her share of detractors just because of the nature of the beast! Ha ha ha!

But, what are ya gonna do? Ha ha ha! Might I suggest turning our attention to much nicer matters...such as the ever lovely Nikki Nova! With Nikki, unlike politicians, ya can never go wrong!

For those who hadn't heard yet, they reached an agreement on the budget, and passed a temporary spending bill to fund the government through next Thursday. The agreement on the budget, calls for spending cuts in the range of $38.5 Billion, as opposed to the $61 Billion the GOP was seeking. So, long story short, the federal government remains "open for business" & everyone will be paid, for now....pending passing the budget deal!

Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend & Nikki I hope you manage to find some time for a lil R&R which you undoubtedly need! I know....easier said than done unfortunately!

Well I thought it might have been a wig and I do believe you that in your case having shorter hair would be more work. Gravity would work more in your favour when it's longer and make it easier to manage I reckon. As for me I'm folically challenged so the shorter the better lol Love that pic too, such sexy eyes!
