Can be a group or solo artist....doesn't matter. And, the "listening to all day" bit was just a description on my part. So either way works really..."without growing tired" "enjoy listening to" doesn't matter. However, I'm just looking for people's all-time favorites...you know....artists that you find to be absolutely brilliant musically for whatever reason. Might even be interesting to know why you feel that way though.....but not necessary.

Hmmmmm.....Sooooo, are you trying to tell us that you find Muhammad Ali to be a pretty man? Anything else you'd like to share with us? Ha ha ha!


But seriously, since we are on the subject of music...I have a question for everyone:

If you had to come up with, in your book, the greatest 2-3 musical groups/artists of all-time who would they be? Like, basically 2-3 artists that you could listen to their music all day.....and never grow tired of it.....if you know what I mean.

For me, that is REALLY tough......because my musical tastes are so varried. But, one group that definitely makes my list is obviously......Led Zeppelin! I mean, for real, as hard as I tried once, I can not think of even one song of theirs that isn't absolutely brilliant and absolutely fucking awesome.....much less one that I don't like. Ok, so my first selection was kind a no-brainer, a cop out, taking the fucking easy way out....whatever you want to call it! Ha ha ha! BUT, hey, got to call it the way I see it! Ha ha ha!

Sooooo everyone.....I know it's hard....but what are some of yours?

Well, either/or works for me. Basically for me, they would be one and the same basically. Like I already said....Led Zeppelin is the ONLY artist/group that I genuinely like EVERYTHING they recorded....I mean there really isn't a bad song that they recorded. As such, Zeppelin has to be the top of my list.

Hey, hello again to you too. Glad to see you have decided to stick around and be a regular contributor just as you said you would! Nice to have you around my friend! As I'm pretty sure you have already picked up on, everyone in this thread is pretty cool & Nikki is definitely a real sweetheart (on top of being cool as Hell herself)

Now, the question that I posed was of course directed at Nikki too.....BUT, knowing how she is working her pretty little ass off this weekend (as usual), and given the atmosphere in here and all (everyone is basically pretty tight), I decided to direct the question to every/anyone who wanted to answer. You'll notice that, from time to time when there is a bit of a lull in here, I'll pop in from time to time to throw some topic out for everyone to mull over. Ha ha ha!

That being said, thanks for giving us your list....definitely some rock solid classics right there. :thumbsup:

I too am blessed with great friends, but am trying harder to get my life back in order. I am moving out of my place at the end of this week because my roommate is moving and I cant afford a 2 bedroom apartment by myself. Going to put my shit in storage and become a nomad until I can save up and purcahse a good space.

Congrats to Lisa Boyle's Grandma for becoming a centurian(That is very cool)

Allow me to TOTALLY agree with Vern about Lisa's grandmother....even though turning 100 is seemingly not as uncommon as it once was....it is still totally awesome! I believe receiving a congratulatory letter from the President is pretty darned cool too. Willard Scott still recognizes people who turn 100 or older also.....so she might even get a mention on the Today Show too! I think it's awesome that the two of you appreciate your grandmothers so much. I know while I had mine....she was one of my best friends and greatest supporters that I ever had. I admittedly could be a "little devil" when I was a kid....but my grandmother could never get mad at me, and she loved me unconditionally....and I cherish the time I was priviliged to have spent with her to this day! Though I know of Lisa, I don't actually know her...but I do know you Nikki...and I am sure that Lisa's grandmother appreciates her every bit as much as Lisa does her....In in the case of you and your grandmother Nikki....you are a VERY special person also....so I KNOW it! Like you've said.....it's important to cherish the good things the one has in life....and I KNOW you live that!

Thanks man! I thought it was pretty cute myself! ha ha ha! Honestly, I thought heavily about whether or not the "Word to your mother" bit was over the top or not....but in the end, I said, what the Hell....and I went with it! Ha ha ha! Anyway, that was my little infusion of humor for the day! Ha ha ha!

For the record, when I got done with that post of yours that I quoted....there wasn't a single word of the original text left! That's got to screw with people's heads that might pop in here....that don't "know"! It's like...."where the fuck did that quote come from?" Ha ha ha!

I love hotels. Is that weird? I do. Sometimes it's nice to just go and stay in a hotel just to unplug for a bit. This pic was taken in a hotel by my friend Lisa Boyle. The recent convo about my blog entry in honor of her grandma turning 100 made me think of it. I lover her to pieces. She is truly a great friend and hello....and amazing photographer!

I TOTALLY feel you there. SCARY thing is that there are still people who are sooooo full of themselves that people pull the same lame stunts today. One guy who comes to mind today is Chad Johnson (Bengals Wide Receiver) who actually legally changed his name to "Chad Ochocinco" (a bastardized play off of his number 85...which is ACTUALLY "ochenta y cinco" in Spanish! Ha ha ha! ) Anyway, just like with Prince, I refuse to play into their bizzare crazy shit. I never called him anything other than PRINCE.....and I don't call that wide reciever anything but Chad JOHNSON...I've just always refused to feed their egos and/or crazy ass behavior. Will it have any impact? No, not really.....but who cares....it the principle of it damn it! Ha ha ha! Now, in my case....I changed my username to my REAL name....AND, I thought borrowing from that whole bizzare episode in Prince's career in conveying my old username was kinda clever....so I went with it. Ha ha ha!

Meh. The Purple Rain album was okay....but I was kinda young back then though. Can't actually say the last time I listened to anything from Prince though (definitely YEARS).....and even then it would have come from that album only. I don't exactly remember him having a reputation for having much respect for women either (putting it mildly)....so that's another reason for saying....Prince....MEH! Ha ha ha!

Yeah, thanks to "afterlights" post (COOL shit man....keep it coming), I had to check that out again myself. I remembered seeing all of that stuff the 1st time around.....BUT, even though I kinda feel like shit right now.....I was fucking laughing my ass off on that Rick James bit. Fucking funny as Hell! I checked out the Prince one again too....it was funny also.....BUT the Rick James one....Bwahahahahaha!


Now, I must go back to my "duties" of closing down the voting for OCSM of the Week....which closes in 9 mins. Should be interesting to see who wins this week barring any major developments over that time!
