rather a scary first half of the third period last night for vancouver. wtf happened there? they pretty clearly outclassed chicago for the whole game except the first 11 minutes of period 3. strange.

and for all those who predicted a fast and physical series between these teams - wow, were you right. fun hockey to watch.

I know it's NHL play-off hockey and I'm psyched about the Bruins, and I'm following the other games too, but I was wondering if here's anyone not from North America following the WC in Switzerland? Yesterday's game between Sweden and Russia was a real treat. Unfortunately the Swedes lost it 5:6 in OT, but it was great fun to watch. Also the 6:5 come from behid win of Sweden against the US.

I'm not a fan of the World Championship. Last year's championship was great, but I don't really find any satisfaction in watching Canada beat every single team they play by four goals. None of the teams are at full power, all the good players are still in the playoffs.

haha guy lafleur. i wonder how they treat guys named "the flower" in prison?

I'm sure he will soon become Guy "Analy" DeFleured.

To anyone who's watching the Pens/Caps game on CBC, why the FUCK does Bob Cole still have a job. We were talking about how bad some american announcers are but he is the worst of them all. He's a senile old man who trails off on his sentences.

Bring on Dean Brown.

i wont lie i havnt kept up with hockey how are the redwings doing in the 2nd round and who are they taken on ?

Vancouver/Chicago is just starting. The guy who sang the Star-Spangelled Banner did a terrible job. It seemed like he was rushing through it...

Funny enough, the old guy who sang your anthem was my Grade 8 french teacher. Mr. Loney was our regular guy for decades but now we've got a fat three-tenors wanabee singer-greasy-hair dude for the home anthem.

I find much satisfaction watching Canada school these teams!

Also, not all good players are still in the playoffs.

Heatley, Spezza, Iginla, Thornton, Kolvachuk, etc. (Some of those aren't playing but still)

To all you Tampa fans, I'm liking Stamkos. He's about to break the record for most goals in the tournament. I can imagine the damage you guys could do with Lecavalier, St. Louis, Stamkos and possibly Tavares. Apparently Garth Snow is talking about maybe picking Hedmen first overall, or even trading his first round pick. He could just be screwing with everyone though.

Ray Emery might be coming back to the NHL.

Apparently the Philadelphia Flyers are talking with Emery's agent.

I'm an Ottawa native and Emery got a bad rap when he was here. He drove his white Hummer around the city and he was always on the news for getting pulled over or being late for practice.

I think one of the real reasons he got bought out because he liked to "indugle" in the cocaine, as did other Senators. Although there is no solid proof I can show you but it's pretty well known that Emery, Redden (a while ago) and McGratten all like the party like that. A friend of mine was at a party and saw Emery doing it, and I've heard stories of Redden doing lines in the bathroom of O'Connors (Kanata bar).

I like Emery though. He's a very althetic goalie that has a lot of potential. Also, he's bad-ass! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSMuzYxukrc&feature=fvst

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
Alright I'll concede, the Redwings are not invincible, I am  as hell they lost @ home. yes I am worried the Ducks can win this series, I hope not, but its not out of the question. :uohs: I swear Fuckin sudden death overtimes are such a emotional roller coaster, I certainly hope like hell that the Wings are able too steal one of the games in Anaheim, or we are in for a long series, and maybe a disappointing finish, we shall see.:hatsoff:

:glugglug:

other teams should fear a healthy Lightning team. Stamkos is gonna be huge. he did VERY well when on the same line as Malone and St. Louis

The only thing i'm affraid of from Stamkos playing so well is that it might convince the Lightning owners that they can trade Lecavalier. There is a rumor that the Los angeles Kings are interested and that they are prepared to offer Jack Johnson , Frolov or Kopitar and possibly their first round pick this year ( 5th overall ) for Lecavalier. Even though I want Vinny to stay in Tampa , that would be a very good trade for the team , much better than what Montreal supposedly offered ( Pleckanec , Higgins and Georges ) .

ahh rumors. when will they cease? i think the owners are smart enough to realize that no matter who we'd get in return for Vinny, that loss would put us back at square one. more new players would have to get comfortable playing with new teammates and we'd finish last...again.

i'm not worried about it
