8 more. Tampa is solid, but Crosby is due to explode. Rooting for the 'Ning, but think the Pens will score too much. As I type that, all I can think of is how disruptive Hedman can be. I like the Blues in the West.
Pittsburgh is playing like a machine right now and, objectively, they appear to be the strongest of the 4 teams that are left. Murray has been incredible.....I really thought he would be their Achilles heel but so far he has been more like the rock of Gibraltar for them. Very impressive. No disrespect meant toward the Lightning at all but they will really have their work cut out for them against the Pens. Still, they could find a way to take the series somehow.
The Sharks will present a very serious challenge for the Blues....they have been an extremely tough matchup for us all year so I rate this series as being wide open. Whoever can dominate on the blueline and special teams will win. I'm hoping the Blues can bring Martin Jones back to earth but that's no guarantee by any stretch. He's been rock-solid for sure. Much like Murray for the Pens, I really never saw that coming. Should be a great battle. I just hate these late west coast starts....I'll be missing some work for sure because no way am I missing any of this action.
I'd rather lose my job than miss this!! (Wow....is that crazy or what?? LOL :1orglaugh:1orglaugh)
Ain't Stanley Cup hockey great? Glory or heartbreak, the emotions run extraordinarily high for these really great teams that are left in this incredibly extreme battle of attrition. These players are true warriors and I have nothing but admiration and respect for who they are and what they do. The Stanley Cup is by far the hardest championship to win in any sport in my opinion, bar none.
We're down to the cream of the crop all the way around. Obviously hoping it's the Blues but won't be shocked if any of the 4 teams left end up winning it all. They are all top-drawer teams so let's strap it on, rock and roll and see who's best! Gut-check time so....
LET'S GO BLUES!!!
