That interference call against Heatley was bullshit. The refs blew calls for both teams. But then again, I guess the NHL wants the Sharks to win. How else would you explain the fact they put more shots on net, won more faceoffs and are now up two games to none?

umm, they're playing better than the Wings?

i'll never understand why people insist there's funny business happening behind the scenes. the teams that win do so because they play better than the losing teams

I don't believe in any of the "NHL wants so and so to win b.s. Not with Crosby or with anybody, but the officiating was in the Sharks favour. The refs are going to blow calls, I get that, but the Sharks are diving all over the place and the refs are letting them get away with it. Are we not watching the same games? And it's easy to outshoot your opponent with 9 powerplays.

The Sharks are good enough to beat anybody without taking advantage of the refs. I hope this is addressed in the rest of the series.

Diving is a big problem. It was suppose to have been addressed, and it has been somewhat. The problem is they give the other guy a penalty anyway. If the guy took a dive & he gets penalized for it then that in essence is saying nothing happened to cause the asshole to go down in the first place!

This series has been horribly officiated. You are 100% correct STDiva. I don't believe the refs favour a team on purpose because the NHL wants to see certain teams win, but the Red Wings have been royally screwed in all orifices thus far in this series. The Sharks are the worst flop artists I've ever seen in hockey. It is shameful and pathetic. If they win this series I hope they look back on it in later years and feel ashamed for playing like pussy soccer players and not real men. It has been flop-flop-flop from these bitches in both games so far. I guess that's their game plan. Sickening.

THANK YOU! You are so right! It makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE for a diving penalty to go along with the call the diver was trying to draw. It's one or the other, not both. I remember at the World Juniors this year I saw a Slovak player get called for diving only. That was the one and only time I've ever seen that. Every other diving penalty I've seen has been coupled with a call against the other player, essentially making them off-setting minor penalties like you would get in scrums when one guy from each team takes a roughing minor. The NHL should start calling diving penalties only. Calling a dive and a trip/hook/slash/high-stick is stupid.

If refs aren't going to call the dives, (or miss them, it can be hard to see everything in a fast paced game) then fines should be handed out. That's the only way they will stop this pussy play. Did anybody see the Dan Carcillo dive? A stick touched his hand and he acted like he got stabbed in the throat. Not to mention Divin' Devin Setoguchi and Nabakov.

As a Wings fan, I have seeing them lose. But even more so, as a hockey fan, I hate seeing anybody lose because of terrible officiating.
